Lena Thank you Virginie!

Lena Ian’s right. Buddy read points are huge. I read a ton but some of them I can’t even fit into a challenge. Next year I’ll make up ones like Under 100 Pages, Scary Books!, and Just Released This Month! - those will help.

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5397 comments Good job team!

My totals: 6,266 pages, 15 books, 108.1 points. One of my best months for pages, not so much points though.

Edited pages. I accidentally counted Dead Ever After but I won't finish it until July so overall my monthly score was pretty average for me.

Oooh!! Look at all the high numbers! Y'all are doing great! ❤️

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 3613 comments BRs do help in the points category but I've confirmed something for myself....I'm too much of a mood reader to be altogether happy having all my books be scheduled. Two to three (at most) BRs a month is what works for me. I like the freedom of being able to pick whatever book I want that matches my mood at any given moment too much. I'm a much happier reader that way.

"Two to three (at most)" Me is more like "Oh this match with my personal schedule!" Hahahahaha xD

Virginie | 6133 comments Hahaha. You did... what? 3 buddy-reads this year, Petrik? :p

I'm trying to limit myself at 3 buddy reads a month as well...

Key word: trying.

I think I like to plan and make lists just for the sake of it... I'm hopeless x)

I've been going rogue lately with all my weekly romance reads... SF/Fantasy Buddy Reads are falling by the wayside a bit... just started Red Country 5 days late... dropped out of House of Chains... running late on several July reads already...

Haha, good luck, Miche. I recall being a bundle of nerves every time there was a battle since the author never shied away from killing characters. My rage for one character in particular hit an all-time high in that book.

HAHAHAHAHA. I know who you're talking about, it's (view spoiler) right? Up to this day, that character is my number one most despicable villain; he makes Dolores Umbridge looks like Winnie the Pooh in comparison

message 2966: by Kris (new)

Kris | 343 comments I can't do too many buddy reads - I only do buddy reads for books I already own at the moment.
I don't tend to read just one genre. I do love a bit of variety. Fantasy is probably my favourite though :)

Same here, Lola. Varying up my genres also helps me fend off burnout.

You were keeping a killer schedule, Iain. Besides, you've read enough UF and fantasy to know that rogues are sexy. :-)

Lena Thanks!

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 3613 comments I'm looking to try Starless somewhere around mid-month. We'll see what I think of it. I loved her Phedre and Imriel trilogies but was just sort of "meh" on her UF series.

A five star book is a great way to bounce back after a couple of DNFs.

message 2979: by Solseit (new)

Solseit | 1516 comments I did not even realize it had 5 stars!
I decided to look into it and it seems quite an interesting read - Urban Fantasy that might be suitable to cleanse before resuming other reads! Added to my TBR.

Thank you Lena!

I think I stopped a book or two after Obsidian Butterfly (that one damaged me a bit). I have intentions to pick up the next ones occasionally, but am in no hurry. I really enjoyed the first 5 or 6. Creepy af.

I happen to agree with the consensus. It's nice to hear it does bounce back a little. I think I still own most of the newer ones.
