Virginie | 6133 comments @Lena: Dog training! How cool! I've never had a dog, so I'm always impressed when I see furry friends do tricks :)

This has become one of the best trilogy I've ever read. Wow... what a conclusion!

message 2103: by Solseit (new)

Solseit | 1516 comments I loved that series as well - so unique and polished. Yet, after some months it went a bit in the “forgotten” bucket while I remember very well other series! Not sure why but this is what happened in my brain.

Thanks! Voting now.

On a similar note, anyone else always have 2 goodreads tabs open in your browser at any given time? One to chat and one to look things/books up? Can't be just me right?

message 2109: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6133 comments Oh, I've got more than 2 tabs!

At the time I wrote that I noticed I actually had 3 open, but that's not always the case. It's def a min of 2 though.

message 2111: by Lena (new)

Lena Lol, usually more like three.

message 2112: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6133 comments I also have the spreadsheet open in a tab! :p

message 2113: by Diana Stormblessed (new)

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5397 comments I was going to say I'm not counting the spreadsheet lol. Though I only open it when I'm making entries. I don't like to keep it open since I'm not sure if that adds to the lag for others.

Yeay! Hope you'll love it! Note that this become a better experience because the world felt very refreshing. It's very rare to see a fantasy book that's not medieval europe inspired these days. not that I disliked medieval setting, but variety are always appreciated xD

There is a rating compatibility feature? in GR? OMG, I feel like an old grandma who cannot really use a smartphone. Sigh.

Heh, true! With that happiness always comes frustration at not being able to read that new book right now.
But I'll never run out of books to read! Yay for the TBR Demon :)

On someone's profil page, 'Compare books' (below the description). You can even filter by shelves.

If you click on a person's profile there's a little button that says compare books. But please don't call yourself old. We're almost the same age :-P

I think your choices were fine - the voting is on par with how it has gone the last few months. I think only the people who actually want to participate in the read are voting these days, which is good for turnout. :) It usually takes the full week before people's votes start coming in because some of them (ahem, me too) wait to see which books are in the lead before chiming in. :)

I'm usually voting right away and sneakily changing my vote during the week depending on which book's leading xD

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 3613 comments Virginie wrote: "I'm usually voting right away and sneakily changing my vote during the week depending on which book's leading xD ."

I've done that. If the book I voted for has no chance of winning but, say, my second or third choice is still a contender then I'll switch my vote to give it a shot to win.

I once realized I didn't have my headphones. I immediately found a Tmobile and bought a second pair. But that's easier in New York City where there's a phone store on every corner.

I think the BR in this group find the book meh? I could be wrong though. But so lucky I didn't join that BR if it's true because reading this one alone was one heck of an experience, especially the last book! :')

I am very curious to hear what you have to say about Circe!
I miss reading about Greek and Roman mythology (studied both for about 5 years) and I crave being exposed to good books based on those myths but I have not been able to find any appealing read (let's face it, Riordan's books are the best I found so far).
