@Lena: Dog training! How cool! I've never had a dog, so I'm always impressed when I see furry friends do tricks :)

This has become one of the best trilogy I've ever read. Wow... what a conclusion!
I loved that series as well - so unique and polished. Yet, after some months it went a bit in the “forgotten” bucket while I remember very well other series! Not sure why but this is what happened in my brain.

Lena wrote: "I don’t think people liked my August Choices, pun lol, only five people have voted (including me)."I don't think I've ever voted. I don't even know where this is or how to vote lol

On a similar note, anyone else always have 2 goodreads tabs open in your browser at any given time? One to chat and one to look things/books up? Can't be just me right?
Virginie wrote: "Oh, I've got more than 2 tabs!"At the time I wrote that I noticed I actually had 3 open, but that's not always the case. It's def a min of 2 though.
I was going to say I'm not counting the spreadsheet lol. Though I only open it when I'm making entries. I don't like to keep it open since I'm not sure if that adds to the lag for others.
Diana Stormblessed wrote: "On a similar note, anyone else always have 2 goodreads tabs open in your browser at any given time? One to chat and one to look things/books up? Can't be just me right?"I thought that was the normal way to do it. ;-)

Just checking :-) I never know is my obsessions are just right or going too far. But I think I'm in good company in this group :-)
Side note: At this rate we're going to hit 3000 comments by the end of the day :-) I love this team.

Don't care, that spreadsheet is part of me now, no one can keep me away from it xD

Yeay! Hope you'll love it! Note that this become a better experience because the world felt very refreshing. It's very rare to see a fantasy book that's not medieval europe inspired these days. not that I disliked medieval setting, but variety are always appreciated xD

I agree. I'm def looking for things that are *different* now a days. One of the things that pulled me into Sanderson books.

@Petrik: You know, I'm actually relieved every time you start reading a book I already knew about because that means my TBR won't grow. You're the Mountainous TBR Demon.
Diana Stormblessed wrote: "Side note: At this rate we're going to hit 3000 comments by the end of the day :-) I love this team."Indeed - at least we have a tight community here!

There is a rating compatibility feature? in GR? OMG, I feel like an old grandma who cannot really use a smartphone. Sigh.
Petrik wrote: "That should be my nickname xD but hey, our rating compatibility is 85%! You should be happy if I find something amazing and new! :D "Heh, true! With that happiness always comes frustration at not being able to read that new book right now.
But I'll never run out of books to read! Yay for the TBR Demon :)
Aristea wrote: "There is a rating compatibility feature? in GR? OMG, I feel like an old grandma who cannot really use a smartphone. Sigh."On someone's profil page, 'Compare books' (below the description). You can even filter by shelves.

I think your choices were fine - the voting is on par with how it has gone the last few months. I think only the people who actually want to participate in the read are voting these days, which is good for turnout. :) It usually takes the full week before people's votes start coming in because some of them (ahem, me too) wait to see which books are in the lead before chiming in. :)

I think that was a book club pick last year and your assessment surprises me (in a good way). Glad you enjoyed it! I haven't gotten around to it yet.

haha I usually have the browser open on my phone and on the computer. It's people like us who cause the "over capacity" thing. X)

I'm usually voting right away and sneakily changing my vote during the week depending on which book's leading xD
Niki Hawkes wrote: "haha I usually have the browser open on my phone and on the computer. It's people like us who cause the "over capacity" thing."Let's not talk about how often we refresh to see if there's new comments... :D
Virginie wrote: "I'm usually voting right away and sneakily changing my vote during the week depending on which book's leading xD ."I've done that. If the book I voted for has no chance of winning but, say, my second or third choice is still a contender then I'll switch my vote to give it a shot to win.

OMG, I just noticed I forgot my headphones this morning! (A coworker drove me to work, so I didn't need 'em) And didn't take my Kindle with me! I have a 105 minutes commute!NOOOOOOOOO!!!

I once realized I didn't have my headphones. I immediately found a Tmobile and bought a second pair. But that's easier in New York City where there's a phone store on every corner.

I think the BR in this group find the book meh? I could be wrong though. But so lucky I didn't join that BR if it's true because reading this one alone was one heck of an experience, especially the last book! :')

I am very curious to hear what you have to say about Circe!
I miss reading about Greek and Roman mythology (studied both for about 5 years) and I crave being exposed to good books based on those myths but I have not been able to find any appealing read (let's face it, Riordan's books are the best I found so far).
