This might have been addressed before, but do you guys include short stories and novelettes in your excel sheet?
@Quinn: I checked your scoresheet, you have to put "y" and not "Yes" in the challenge cell. Your book is now worth 8.4 point.Great job :D

I have to disagree with you, Liam. This, imo, was super good and original! :D

Tore through this French middle-grade SF during my breaks at work :O
Also finished Tokyo Ghoul this week-end, and I'm back to reading my way through Vinland Saga: 9 volumes left!

Thank you, Virginie! And great job! also, wow awesome was Tokyo Ghoul!? :D
Thanks! It was amazing! I didn't plan on finishing it during the week-end but I couldn't stop myself! I was emotionally exhausted after volume 14... Last time I felt like this was for Assassin's Fate.I'll wait a little bit before diving into the sequel (to preserve my sanity...). Are you reading it?
@ Petrik ... if u wanna read the Divine Cities series, let me know. Manju and I are planning to continue with the 2nd book sometime in June / July

I've read only some of the sequel, haven't continued a lot honestly! :D
Barry wrote: "@ Petrik ... if u wanna read the Divine Cities series, let me know. Manju and I are planning to continue with the 2nd book sometime in June / July"Oh, I started the second book alread. Sorry, Bar! I cannot wait, will most likely finish this Wednesday or at the latest, Thursday. xD

I started reading Tokyo Ghoul to get a little breather after the volume 8 of Vinland Saga which ended with (view spoiler). I was so naive...

A bit simplistic (well, it is a middle-grade book) but... Space-whales! WHALES SWIMMING IN SPACE! How cool is that?
And with that... I broke over 400 points :D

Thanks Veronica =].
I want to dig into Malazan but I feel like it's just too heavy for me right now 😭. I've been doing rereads which has been great and honestly about all I can focus on right now haha. Making my way through some of the Ender books again while I listen to The Riyria Chronicles (which I have been hugely enjoying). But Malazan is top priority. Soon. I also need to keep cutting through Wheel of Time which will be a little easier since I can listen to those.
Malazan is my current top priority too, although I seem to be inching through only about a chapter a day. Almost 75% done with the first book though!
Veronica wrote: "I finished Memories of Ice and as soon as I stop crying I'll update my spreadsheet."(hugs)
When I read it I was sobbing by the time I reached the end. No exaggeration.
@Liam: I'm digging into Malazan in July! I really want to give Wheel of Time a try too but that have to be for next year. I have done Hobb's Elderlings this year and soon Malazan, I think my brain and time won't allow me to read two massive series in a year. Especially after hearing from everyone that it takes longer to read a page in Malazan compared to usual.@Veronica, Miche: Sounds promising xD
Miche wrote: "When I read it I was sobbing by the time I reached the end. No exaggerat..."That's the second Malazan book in a row for me. I didn't think I had such mushy insides. lol
Okay, I updated my spreadsheet - and a huge "thank you!" to Virginie who was nice enough to enter my books so all I had to do was go in and say if they also got challenge points. I added 41.7 points to the team total.

Ok, it's time to admit I won't finish another book in May ^_^Total May tally: 14 books + 4 Bookburners episodes + 16 mangas (6176 pages) = 92.8 points
There's several books I read mostly in April and finished at the beginning of the month, but I'm still very proud :)
Good job Virginie!I'm still hoping to finish Black Company in May. I have a tiny bit left. It's been 4 weeks since I started it. I really hope the rest of this series moves faster or I'll have to abandon it. Pretending that it'll get done tonight, my stats are:
books: 12
pages: 5642
points: 98.1
It's my lowest page count since January, which I was expecting since I was trying to keep this month light. I had a few trips planned this month and longer ones planned for June and July, so I'm not expecting to go over 6,000 pages again until August.

Missed your status update. Nice job!
Great job, Diana. Your 'slow month' brought more points than my 'heavy month' :pI struggled with The Black Company too. I'm not fond of the writing style.
Yup! You just have to mark those as Graphic Novels on your scoresheet. The 'page points' are divided by 4 compared to that of a normal book.

Helps that all of my reads are challenge and buddy reads. Hopefully next year the points for those go down. I think more emphasis should be put on page count. But that doesn't mean I won't take advantage while I can ;-)

I would too if doing too much BRs was not leading me into a slump.

Last month I think I only did two BRs, the rest of what I read was just whatever fit my mood at the time, and the more relaxed approach felt wonderful.

I think I went through something similar - besides being overwhelmed by work - the last couple of months. Said so, there are books that will always intrigue me and I have almost inhaled Sins of Empire re-read. And I cannot wait to tackle Wrath of Empire!
As a side note, well done everyone! You are doing so well. and I wonder if some of the team members are actually human!

I did that in April... it was glorious! Although I had too many scheduled in May to make that work again.
