I've only recently listened to the audiobook for the first Heartstrikers book and I liked it even though I thought Julius was a bit...vanilla. Nothing wrong with that but I liked the flair of Bob and Justin more. They were my favorites in the story.

I only read the first book in that series (Black Company)... I struggled A LOT at the beginning. Ended up as an OK read but I decided not to continue with the series. Just not my cup of tea, I guess.

Yeah.. Julius can be grating with his niceness, especially in book 3. Book 2 was super good though imo, I hope you'll continue! Book 1 was an okay-good read for me but book 2 and 3 was amazing and great! :D
