How nice of you! Not creepy at all in my book. One of the reasons, I suspect, that I do batch updates is because I put off doing it as long as possible. Which just ends up backfiring on me because then it takes me longer to enter 10 or more books than if I just did it as I finished each book.

I just tried and this totally creepy system (working on a grassroots project to set up schools for disadvantaged kids in Asian slums) crashed...like wtf! Btw Ron, I didn't think I could love or respect you more than I already did after last year but then everyone was sharing here, yes? And so....so...I read abt the work you do...and yeah. I was wrong.

My heart was shattered when he killed off Kelsier but I still respected that there were real stakes for the characters. As much as I loved his SA series, I do agree with you. (view spoiler)[The tension is starting to go missing, heck at this point I'll even take Adolin, Shallan, or even Dalinar being killed! It would bring the series to greatness again, even if it will makes me sad seeing Dalinar dead.

Elhokar's death means almost nothing to me, he's just a side character. I was surprised that he was killed but it doesn't have any impact like Kelsier's death in which he was pretty much the MC in Final Empire. I keep on saying this countless times, Sanderson better upped his game again in the sequel. Also for Eshonai, I refuse to believe that's her death, no matter what Sanderson said. It's just too anti-climactic and dumb for her to be dead just like that. On one hand, I hope he'll stop bringing dead characters to life, on the other hand I wish Eshonai's death wouldn't be that stupid and anticlimactic. (hide spoiler)]

I'll try and re-read the entire series as some point to do a Shallan character study. She really fascinates me.

Something that annoyed me though... Shallan is going through an amazing evolution mentally. Why muddle her struggle with identity with a love triangle? I would have liked to see Shallan & Veil disagrees more about their values than their taste in men... I think she stands as a character on her own, and seeing her relationships with Kaladin/Adolin given so much attention in Oathbringer just piss me off.

Otherwise, let's agree to disagree? Let's keep both Kaladin and Shallan alive, and kill Dalinar! He's too perfect, it annoys me 😈

In OB, not only her being a coward in running from the harsh reality of her past that she caused, her multiple personality plot line was stretched for too long. We didn't get to see some events that could've been great such as Jasnah's reunion or Dalinar and the gang forgiving Szeth, instead, we got her using her multiples personalities in deciding which dick to get IN, AdolIN or KaladIN.. Yes, horrible pun intended.

For Lift, I agree with you, completely Scott. Lift is a character that work wonderfully as a side character, not as a main character. Being inside her head in Edgedancer makes me sing Everything is Awesome from Lego the Movie, I won't be surprised if she smell some poo and said it was an awesome smell. I think she'll have a lot of great developments in the future though, seems like Sanderson is preparing her to be one of the main character in Stomrlight Archive part 2 (book 6-10 which takes place years after book 5) (hide spoiler)]
