Bahahahha my brain can only handle one more giant series for this year. That means if I start WoT, I'm going to have postpone Malazan again and I don't know how I feel about that.

How awesome was this one though? I thought it was the best of the series.

I own this series. Will read it next year, i'm thinking. All the positive chatter abt it is really heartening...

I need more. More Sanderson. More Cosmere. Did someone invent a time-travelling machine yet? What do I have to do to get my hands on a Cosmere book right now?
I NEED MORE!

You know how we were saying we both need a new THING for #aftertheLawrence?
EDIT to add:
Go, Miche! But I think I already meant that in comment #1263 😂😂😂

I was supposed to be on that buddy read but after finishing the second book I realized that I just don't care about any of the characters. They could all die and I wouldn't care.
Veronica wrote: "I was supposed to be on that buddy read but after finishing the second book I realized that I just don't care about any of the characters. They could all die and I wouldn't care. "There are a couple of new characters, but I don't think you would connect to any this point if you didn't care about all others before.
Niki Hawkes wrote: "Love the cosplay, Diana! And mic drop for Sanderson in the photo as well. :)"Thank you! :-)
@Veronica: I agree with Miche, Veronica. If by the second book you still don't care about any of the characters, it's seriously better to just drop the series.

The first book took me a long time to grab my interest and I almost gave up of the series. I am happy I didn't as the second and third books were page turners for me. I read both in two days!
"Break the chains!"
Yeay!!! I super loved Red Rising trilogy so I'm glad that's working out for you, Miche.I agree that book 2 and 3 were such a massive improvement! :)

@Virginie: I agree that Age of Myth showed a LOT of improvement in Sullivan;'s writing in comparison to Riyria.

@Miche: Thanks!@Petrik: Great job! And you're taking my spot on the ranking again (the one I got back with Age of Myth). I wasn't paying attention before but I'm wondering if we haven't been overthrowing each other for a while now :D
I don't remember the last time I updated here so I'll skip the missing ones and just move on to today.Den of Wolves

I think you'll love his Riyria series. It's very popular and the last book was so good. The beginning was weak af though, no idea why people loved it

Ooohh I just checked, you're right! Our score are so close to each other! xD
Petrik wrote: "Ooohh I just checked, you're right! Our score are so close to each other! xD"I noticed it a week ago or so. And then, you read White Sand #2 (worth 0.4 points) and ended up above me by 0.1 points. I remember thinking "Is he doing it on purpose?!?" xD

It's nothing against the writing, which is fine. I'm just not invested in the characters.

Right there with you!
I really loved morning star. It had awesome momentum. I have yet to retry iron gold. I just wasn't in the mood for it I think.

Hey Virginie! I just bought that book, is it ok to start there or should I read the previous series?
You can totally start here. You don't have to have any knowledge from his other series.I'd advise to start with Age of Myth actually... Sullivan improved a great deal, the pace is much better compared to Riyria. But Legends of the First Empire is not completed yet (4 more books being published this year and the next).
Niki Hawkes wrote: "I really loved morning star. It had awesome momentum. I have yet to retry iron gold. I just wasn't in the mood for it I think."I'm reading that one right now. I thought the departure from a purely Darrow POV would annoy me but so far I'm liking it. Of course, I still want more Darrow.
