You"re a spray painter.

I'll come back as a zombie and wreak havoc there. And eat gelato.

That's right folks, I did it! I started Ass Apprentice on Jan 15th, finished Ass Fate on April 15th. Took me exactly 3 months to finish all 16 books + 1 novella + 1 anthology. And oh my god the last book.... is by far the best in the series (for me)

I had started the series with one book per month in another group and it was too much for me.
Me and Angela are reading these every two months and it worked perfectly for us.

Woooo...Petrik!
+1 on this Miche...I'll be watching for....
And oh I can't wait for Anni and Siobhan to start too. I once wrote a long essay trying to entice Shivaaaan to ditch that Temeraire
#fail
And recently, @Anni posted a picture of her beautiful German edition of GoTM.
Oh and yeah, I'm a bit late to this feeling and (I guess it rightly belongs on vent/rant) but I know Niki and Petrik check here more often...my Malazan set is almost all Bantam paperbacks except for two of them which somehow (I just discovered) I got shipped Tor which are slightly differently sized. Now normally this would NEVER have bothered me...but ever since Ahdam and Petrik had that discussion about the Stormlight covers....
SIGH...... Amazon

That was another amazing Malazan book!
Small rant time: my book has over 1200 pages, but the most popular edition only has 832. I always feel ripped off when I finish them, lol. These popular editions must have small spacing and small fonts. Rant over.
Is that a rule? I just use the number of pages in my book. If it’s an audiobook I use the first page option GR gives me.
It is the rule, Lena. We are supposed to use the most popular version in the language you are reading. Pretty much the first book that appears listed. But if the first one that appears if an audiobook you can select the first page option. For most of the books I read the page difference is pretty much irrelevant. In my case, I only noticed big difference with the Malazan books.

That's a good suggestion. I bet each one will take close to a month to get through anyway, so I'll definitely need a few weeks between to read other stuff. The updates and enthusiasm you and Angela show for the series is definitely a factor in my motivation. :)

That is really frustrating. Scott has a really good plan for future rounds of the competition to account for that. I do wish we had thought of it before things got too far along to change. I had a 200 page hit the other day as well.

Thank you! I think the scale of it is exactly what I've been craving lately since I've finished out a lot of others.
That would be fantastic, thanks for the heads up. I keep meaning to go back and read her other lindholm stuff. She's evolved so far over the elderling timeline that I'm nervous her earlier works won't be as good.
Hey sorry that I've been MIA for a while now. Been battling flu season unsuccessfully. I'm still reading, just not as quick as normal, and I haven't had much energy to talk about my reads as much lately. Kolo, sules? (My 2 new favorite words!) I'll be more engaged once I'm healthy again!

Sorry to hear that, Chris. I hope you feel better soon. Looking forward to having your positive energy back on the reads. :)

These indie books are actually damn short. Don't let the fact that I finished these 3 books in 4 days fool you into thinking these pages are long. xD
Starting Nice Dragons Finish Last next!
Good work! An addictive series can help turn those pages. For me it’s been making my way through the In Death series.

I haven't marked it yet but I finished Age of Myth and loved it so so much. But not reading much this weekend cuz JordanCon! Yay!

Beatification occurs posthumously ;-))))) at least it did, the last time I checked.... but you're going nowhere....we like having you here with us.
@Elizabeth...re-read a childhood fave. Or read Matilda. That book is EVERYTHING and will kick your reading slump in the bells.
