41. A book by an author with the same first and last initials

One of my goals for the year is to read 6 personal development books, and Brené Brown will fit perfectly for that.
If I end up meeting my goal before getting to this prompt, I was also looking at reading White Noise by Don DeLillo, 84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff, or Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta.

For this prompt you don't need to find someone with the same initials as you. You just need to find an author whose initials are the same for their first and last names. AA, BB, CC, etc. You can see some examples in the first post. Much easier to find!

🙈 so glad you clarified that! Haha

I've been looking forward to this one !!"
Oh, yes....forgot that's in the stack on my nightstand....changing to that one as well!!

- Who is the author?
Lauren Layne
- Is he/she a new author for you?
No this is the second book from the author I have read.

Forgotten
- Who is the author?
C.J. Carmichael
- Is he/she a new author for you?
No, I read one previous book by this author

Heartless
- Who is the author?
Marissa Meyer
Is he/she a new author for you?
Nope! Before this, I read and enjoyed Cinder & its sequels. Not sure this one is going to quite live up to that series though...

- Who is the author? This was written by Lori Lansens
- Is he/she a new author for you? Yes I had never heard of her before I randomly picked up this book. I will probably try and read another though, it was really interesting.

Jody wrote: "Just thought of another A author (as I'm listening to it at the moment) - Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari, especially if you're looking for non-fiction."
Definitely second this recommendation, and if you can listen to it, Aziz is HILARIOUS in his narration.

I read A Land of Permanent Goodbyes
Who is the author?
Atia Abawi
Is he/she a new author for you?
Yes

Undone
Who is the author?
Cat Clarke
Is he/she a new author for you?
No, I've read two of her other books. A Kiss in the Dark and Torn

Take One
Who is the author?
Karen Kingsbury
Is he/she a new author for you?
No. I voted for this category in the polls with this author in mind knowing I had plenty of books on my shelf to read by her. This is the next one in the Baxter series I had on deck.
Looking through the posts, I didn`t realize all the other authors I could have read and even have on my list to read this year like Hugh Howey (one of my faves), Marissa Meyer, and Ransom Riggs. I agree Tracy- that movie adaption was horrendous. I actually went to the movie theater to see it.

Oh noooooo, I'm sorry about the movie theater lol that sucks 😕

My name is Barbara Alves, so should I look for an author who has his name initiating with B and his surname with A OR an author with his name initiating with B and also his name finishing with A?
Feel free to get lost with my messed explanation!

Author whose first and last initials match .
Ransom Riggs (R.R.)
Marissa Meyer (M.M.)
Ania Ahlborn (A.A)
etc...

That's funny, I didn't like the book, but I enjoyed the movie :D

Well at least someone enjoyed it lol...
Which did you do first? Watch the movie or read the book?

I read the book first and didn't liked it (I liked the pictures though) .... maybe it was because of that! My expectations for the movie were so low that anything would have been fine :D

The Sword of Summer
Who is the author?
Rick Riordan
Is he/she a new author for you?
Yes, he is a new author to me. I have heard him mentioned so many times lately that I thought it was about time I read some of his books. I have seen the 'Percy Jackson' movies but never read the books. When I saw he had written one with Norse Mythology I had to read that series first.

- Who is the author?Philip Pullman
- Is he/she a new author for you? yes he is a new author for me. I'm reading the series as a buddy read in another group. The second book also works nicely for the Clue prompt this year.

Life II
- Who is the author?
Scott Spotson
- Is he/she a new author for you?
Yes - I'm reading this book that was gifted to me from a read for review program. I found it fit the prompt so off I go!

Five star read. Superb graphic novel of Frida Kahlo's life told as a conversation between Frida and Death. I can't praise it enough. Fascinating and would fit so many ATY categories.
