Yes I can. Ojibwe felt that this was the only way to deal with someone like Indigo Bloom. They probably felt if you left it to "white man" justice that nothing would have happened to equal the crimes he had committed.
I think Liam decided not to impose the legal justice system on tribal matters after the fact. It was the right decision given how disastrous the consequences would have been long term. While I didn’t agree with the brutal eye for brutal eye Ojibwe approach to justice, it had the complicity of the tribal elders.
