Gage is treated as a suspect initially and later has a warrant out for his arrest for Blake’s murder. Do you believe Gordon ever seriously believed he’d killed Blake?

Laura No I don't think he did, I think he was used as a decoy to throw off Trent possibly.

I didn’t think he did, either for the reasons you state. That warrant for his arrest was more to find Kelsey than to get Gage. If it was obvious to Elizabeth you know Gordon was utterly convinced of his innocence.
