I feel like there was a lot left out from the book in the movie. Which kind of confuses me, because the book is really short in comparison to the other books. I mean, take book 4 and 5 for instance, those are massive, and they still managed to get a big chunk of it in the film. But I guess the first film was kind of the experiment, huh?
Yeah the sorting song, and there was also the Hogwarts song!
I know right? One of my favourite scenes didn't make it into the first movie :(

I wonder if it was a cgi thing or just a time thing. Because I don't even think that theres a deleted scene or anything. I watched the first movie last night, and it was kinda painful, lol. I read an interview from Daniel Radcliffe, and he said the first two movies are painful for him to watch because he thinks his acting is bad, and wished he had an acting coach back then
Lols well I kinda don't like his acting much...haha.
I've been watching the movies again too! Got up to the sixth one.
The cgi in the HP movies is pretty good though, better than some other movies that came out around the same time.

Lol I get ya. I think its hard to see him outside of Harry Potter. I think I watched one other movie of his, but he was a father in it, and it kind of weirded me out, because I'm pretty sure we're the same age. He looked way too young to be a father in it. But hes definitely gotten better than the first movie, I mean hes only a kid but its kind of painful lol.
Yay! I've been kinda doing this thing where I read the book, watch the movie. Read the book, watch the movie. Etc. But my bf gets annoyed because I start to nitpick the movie, like oh thats not supposed to happen! Lol, I told him I needed to stop because I'm gonna end up hating the movies, which I would hate because I love them so much.
It is, and I think Lord of the Rings was coming out around then too. There was this thing at the HP tour that I wanted to do, but the line was too long, where you got on a broom in front of a green screen, and you could see yourself flying over london and stuff.

Lols, watching kids act...is always painful for me. I'm trying to think of a kid who doesn't make me cringe. Oh wait, the kid in home alone, cal-somebody Mc-something...he was okay I think. There was this movie I watched recently with kids...I cringed T.T
Haha, I do that too, though my bro completely agrees, and then he picks out more things based on his memory of the books. Haha, lols, don't hate the movies~~!
Omgosh that would have been awesome! Oh yeah, I remember that - I remember the news articles about the Lord of the Rings being filmed in NZ being a big deal :P

Lol, Macaulay culkin? Thats true, but he turned out to be a kind of a trainwreck in his adult years.
Lol I'll try not to hate the movies! I don't it could ever get that serious though!
I plan on redoing the tour when I go back. I plan to go with someone who actually knows who Harry Potter is, unlike my mom who never read the books or watched the movies. She got really excited about this golden statue, that I don't remember seeing at all in the movies, but the little card said in was in the background of a scene, and I was like oh cool, but she acted like it was the knight bus or something lol. I'm actually going to the symphony next week because they're playing HP music! I'm so excited! Lol I love LOTR. I read two of the books in high school, but I plan on rereading the whole series.

Yessss that's the kid! And yea I heard about that, that's pretty sad though, he could have been great lols!
Lols hopefully it doesn't :P. But I get what you mean, when I spot the differences, yet by then, I still can't help love the movies :P
Bahaha lol, yeah that might help! And lols, mums XD. OMG that's awesome!!!!! I love the music in HP! I'd be excited too ^^
I've got the second book (or actually, the second movie book since I think the second movie was made out of th book 3 and 4 or soemthing?) which I've yet to read. I tried reading it when I was like ten...bad idea haha

Lol, yeah. I mean hes still around, but I think he plays music or something.
I think its getting worse! I think its just gonna get worse for me as the books get longer and longer.
Lol I'll have to post the picture of the statue. I was trying to look at it, and determine what it was, and I think its something for the entrance of Hogwarts or something. I'm so excited! Veronica Roth is in three days, and then Harry Potter symphony in a week! Its gonna be an awesome week!
Something like that. I have a book set that I bought after the movies started coming out, so each book corresponds to the movies, and has the movie covers on the front. I think I was introduced when I was 13, and then picked it up on my own when I was 15

Lols I'm on four now and it's funny, I remember watching the fourth movie over and over even though I knew it was lacking so much. Yet, I still like it somewhat, but the book is still...a thousand times better!!!
OMG yayayaya!!! That sounds like it'll be an awesome week ^^
I was introduced when I was eight or something, really young and that's why I probably couldn't pick it up on my own -though I will totally try to eventually XD

You know, I was thinking, the ghosts seemed to be almost completely ignored in the movies. I was reading the part where Nearly Headless Nick gets petrified, but hes already dead, so he couldn't die again, just become stonelike. I feel like a lot of the ghost parts seemed to be important to the story.
They are important! (I agree on that) Because their story intertwines with Harry's, and they all play a part...including poor Peeves
