Its a place where most mythical animals live for sanctuary since mortal humans can't enter that place unless they find a wearable artifact so Unicorns roam there as well for safety.

Basically using a magic artifact to trick the forest barrier.

I would say Unicorns where the ones that placed the magical barrier and maybe some other creatures began to help whenever a unicorn got exhausted from using magic, if you're fine with that

I was actually thinking of having the trees themselves be magical but the my little ponies can help as well

XD Alright, so the Unicorns help out the trees. Maybe in the middle is some statues of the spirits, including the Spirit of Life XD

Well no one has the technology to create such a thing as statue but they can be a ruin of ancient times.

It’s fine you can still have the statues you’ll just have to state that they’re a ancient ruin.

Instead of statutes, you could have them paint depictions of the goddess on rocks and trees in a certain clearing, similar to cave paintings.
