The series's hero is autistic Edward Stan..."He has Asperger's Syndrome. It's on the autism spectrum. I call him a hero because he will drop everything in order to help a sullen teenager - not an easy task for a "spectrum person," I imagine. That is why Edward is heroic to me even though he is also the narrator and main character. His heroism is the most important thing in the story to me.

About to begin
The Warning by Paul Pen after finishing the very satisfying 5th book in the DCI Matilda Darke series,

Just finished Homegoing. A straight 5 star book. Loved it.Already 80 pages into Talk Before Sleep which seems to be a very sad but quick read.
Leslie wrote: "Thanks for clarifying Nichole! I can understand him better as a hero now."No problem.
Work deadlines have really slowed down my reading and visitations to this site. Both February and March will be busy. Hopefully, I will finish
by the end of this weekend.
Currently reading two booksThe Girl in the Letter by Emily Gunnis
and as a balance The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle
At the moment I'm reading the latest book af an contemporary Italian writer who is relatively famous also abroad: La vita bugiarda degli adulti by Elena Ferrante.
She has been strongly admired for her quadrilogy "The neapolitan Novels".
Those four were nice, even if I didn't find them so stunning as some others did.
I'm only at the beginning of this new one; too early to say

I have heard good things about My Brilliant Friend. I guess that is the first of the "Neapolitan Novels"?
I have listened audio versions of Neapolitan Quartet by Elena Ferrante , they are very good, they have content which are bound to become classics someday.

Exactly that one. It 's a good book; a good trilogy, especially the first two. As I said before though I'm not one of the - many and learned - supporters. Liked but not loved
