Thanks Greg; she really is a great woman - not because she's my daughter! Thinking all she's gone through - and still is - the more outstanding

My mother passed away last Thursday. She would have been 92 this May. I am grateful that they were able to keep her comfortable at the end.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that Ruth, though I'm glad they were able to keep her comfortable. Were restrictions relaxed enough for you to visit?

Thank you everyone and yes Greg we were able to visit. Even during lockdown, families could visit if it was end of life care. I was glad that my brother was able to come up from Virginia to see her as he hadn’t been able to see her for four yrs.

So glad you and your brother were able to be there with her.
I have friends who could only visit family at end times through call or video call during some of the worst outbreak periods, and I think that made it even rougher, if that's possible.

Yes Greg it was like that in hospitals but nor in nursings homes at least not in RI. They just had to wear full PPE and stay in their family members room.

Broke my leg on 15th April slipping on rocks with the tide coming in!!! There’s a first time for everything and crazy as it was I was buoyed up by so many kind folks on the beach and in the village who helped get me to safety.
I’m sorry to hear about your injury Tweedledum! I’m glad the people were there for you. Best wishes for a swift recovery!

I prefer the books since they are fictionalized autobiographies (so it's all actually true or based on real people--Nellie Oleson was based on two people combined according to Ingalls Wilder, and later on she meets her husband, marries him, has her IRL daughter Rose, etc) rather than made up scripts by people other than Laura :). Also, I read the first few books before there was a series.
I always prefere books! Still, I've so loved the tv series as kid - I didn't even know it was taken from books at that time!
So glad it has finally arrived!!! I love Summer - I should do as bears: go to sleep by the end of Autumn and wake up again in Spring...
