This book is about a high school senior, Cara, going through different obstacles in her life right at the beginning of her senior year. The book starts off a couple days before school starts. Cara volunteers at a place to go whale watching. One day she went on a tour and a whale happened to knock her out of the boat and into the freezing water. Luckily, a mysterious newcomer saved her and brought her back into the boat. School finally began and as she went to find her seat in English class she saw that mysterious newcomer again. She was so upset to see him there. She knew she had to get over him so she tried to go to her bestfriend for help but that didn't work out very well either. Ever since her best friend started dating the weird kid in the school, she's been acting strange. She has to get things straight, figure out what's up with her best friend, try to get over this newcomer, and graduate high school. All at the same time. I love this book a lot. I was able to relate to many of the characters in the book. Especially, Cara. I could connect to her a lot easier because I've felt the same emotions she has, chose some of the decisions she chose, and seen some of the things she's seen. My favorite part of the book was when she finds out her cute new friend, Garren, is actually her guardian angel. I thought that part was just absolutely cute and fit perfectly into the storyline. The author did really well elucidating the details. I was able to picture all the events that took place in the book. I would most definitely recommend this book to someone else. It's so thrilling, entertaining, and fun,p. There's so many cliffhangers that keep you wanting more. The book makes you want to read more and more. I read 100% of this book.
