Do y'all want to go on to Misery? I'll wait a few more days to see if anyone else chimes in. If not, we'll wait til both of you are done then go to whatever we decide next. Sound good?

I'm good with that, but I can wait also

Looks like we'll be skipping IT and going on to Misery. I'll give it another day here. Terry, your still reading Skeleton Crew right? Anyone else?

😂 You have so many books!

I'm still reading it, but don't wait just for me. I have so many commitments, plus work, I'm not sure when I'll get done.

Im already tired & the week has hardly started.

i'll be creating a new one for it but i'll link to it here.

I completely understand. There's some still reading Skeleton Crew so it will probably be a few more weeks before we start Misery.

Completely new to the group, so apologies if I get it wrong, but just a couple of questions on how these group reads typically go:
1) It looks like everyone agrees on a start time? Do you also then agree on an end time, or is it just until the next month? Starting on October 25 for instance with discussion to happen between that date and when the next one starts on November 25?
2) Looking at the previous replies to this thread, I'm not actually seeing too much discussion on the books themselves. Is that done in another thread or somewhere else? That's part of what I'm looking for, but if that's not the purpose of the group then should I look elsewhere?
3) I assume that since this is a discussion group for books that it's understood people venturing into here are reading that book, so we do *not* worry about posting spoilers, right? On the other hand, one person could easily be further along than the next, so it seems reasonable that someone would note what they read up to before diving into it so people who haven't gotten that far know to not read until they do.
Any other rules or guidelines I should be aware of beyond the group's overall policy? Thanks!
Also: I'm ready to start Misery whenever. I have not read it before. I'm finishing up The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon now but I'll have that done in a day or two, and anyway I can start Misery at the same time.
Ok. We usually try to start on the 13th of the month. We discuss, comment or whatever about the book here in this thread. We try to wait til everyone is done before moving on to the next one so there isn't a "finish by" date. Your not required to read them all with us. You can pick & chose. Um what else....we do you spoiler tags cause like you said, we all read at different speeds. Some months there's lots of participants and some months it just me & Terry lol. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Sometimes I'm ok with not knowing. What was the oil spill, where did it come from? I like that he didn't tell us everything.

One day I'll get to Misery and It! *sigh*

So far, the raft is the creepiest, but I also liked the story with the girls car.

I know exactly how that is. me & 1 of my cats gets comfortable on the couch and !! my phone goes off and of coarse it's out of reach. I did manage to finish The Ascent though.

The mist, the raft and gramma were the best stories.

I liked (view spoiler) Simple story, but the idea is cool.

It was a little more subtle and not quite as exciting as my description makes it sound really, but I liked it.
