Most visitors to the Fringe come from other countries, suzy, including (if not especially) England.
It's too far for me to even think about it, especially as I'd be on my own, and I've never been to Edinburgh before. If it was only much less of a Train ride away though I might still just be tempted enough to try getting there - LOL!!! ;o>
This Thursday is "All Day Rave" day on BBC 6Music. More info - https://www.bbc.co.uk/schedules/p00fz...

Am I weird for really fancying Sanjeev Kohli?
No, he's quite fanciable. I've seen him at a couple of live events, once talking about writing the scripts for 'Still Game' , another time he was interviewing Neil Forsythe ,the author of 'Delete This at your Peril' , the original Bob Servant book. (Which was much funnier than the subsequent TV series). Fancying Ramesh or Naveed might be a bit weird though.
Not quite the wireless, and probably already posted, but worth reposting :)42 Douglas Adams quotes to live by.
“All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others.”
It’s going to be really difficult for the soaps to incorporate it, specially Doctors, Casualty and Holby City.

Now I know the person on the right is River City's "A.J." and Still Game's "Navid", but I've never heard of "Fags, Mags & Bags" in all my life????🤔🤔
If you love Navid (and who doesn’t?) you will adore Ramesh in ‘Fags etc’ also a shopkeeper and played by the same actor. It’s on BBC Radio 4, and set in Lenzie.
A Link for Collette to catch up on perhaps ... and also one for all Fags, Mags & Bags fans to enjoy ... Series 1 through to 4 and all completely free to listen to ... YAYYY!!! ;o> ...https://archive.org/details/fagsmagsa...
"Sitcom written by and starring Sanjeev Kohli and Donald Mcleary, set in a Scots-Asian corner shop near Glasgow.
Join the staff of Fags, Mags and Bags in their tireless quest to bring nice-price custard creams and cans of coke with Arabic writing on them to an ungrateful nation. Ramesh Mahju has built it up over the course of over 30 years and is a firmly entrenched, friendly presence in the local area.
Ramesh loves the art of the 'shop'. However; he does apply the 'low return' rules of the shop to all other aspects of his life. Ramesh is ably assisted by his shop sidekick Dave, a forty-something underachiever who shares Ramesh's love of the art of shopkeeping, even if he is treated like a slave.
Then there are Ramesh's sons Sanjay and Alok, both surly and not particularly keen on the old school approach to shopkeeping, but natural successors to the business. Ramesh is keen to pass all his worldly wisdom onto them - whether they like it or not!"
WoW! ... it's got a little bit dusty in this Thread room! ;o> I just bobbed in to share with fellow fans that today's the day for tuning into BBC Radio 4 at 2.15pm to listen to the 11th series of ...
So wonderful to have been able to listen to this comedy for so long ;o>So sad to find out today that it will soon be over and there will be no more ;o<
"BIG FMB NEWS KLAXON!
Fags, Mags & Bags is recording a very special finale episode in front of a live audience for the very first time! Sadly, FMB is not returning for a 12th series, but we’ve had a great run & happily BBC Radio 4 have commissioned a one-off finale to help us say goodbye to this much-loved show which is very cool. Come along & help us celebrate the uniquely funny Fags, Mags & Bags! Full details below:"
