Must be, SW. For those of us outside the demographic:Brains, the group's resident science geek.
Billie, the tomboyish mother of the group.
Sticks, the only American in the group, so-named because of his drumming skills.
Scooper, the leader of the group
Spring, the only black member of the group.
Tiger, the youngest member of the group, who has a stuffed tiger also called "Tiger".
Doughnut, who is not the brightest member and is constantly eating.
Never watched Double Deckers. The whole series is on DVD for those wishing to relive their youth though. ;-)

Brinsley Forde (Spring) did, indeed, go on to front the reggae band Aswad. If Craig frequented this thread he might have got it.

Blimey, you lot will be telling me next that you never watched Crackerjack. I might try the Banana Splits next. But there were only four of them, so that would be tougher still.
I've no particular desire to relive that period of my youth, thanks. In any case, I doubt very much that Here Come the Double Deckers will have aged well. Nothing with Melvyn Hayes in it is likely to feel at home in the 21st century.
Gordon, apart from Bagpuss, Clangers and the wonderful In The Night Garden, all watched as an adult, I’ve not seen any children’s telly. We didn’t have a TV till 1956 when I started work so I was never of an age to watch any.
Cheers, Gordon. I watched The Double Deckers and The Banana Splits as a kid. Not to mention The Magic Roundabout, Noggin The Nog, Pogle's Wood and many, many more,Love In A Minor Key - We Used To Make Things
