It's in subsection 21.14.09, paragraph 3
Which states that if another player has the perspicacity to notice that your guess is logically impossible, then it's only good manners to withdraw it.
I seem constantly to bump into unwritten rules. I see the game as one of logic rather than pure wordsmithery. Guessing something impossible allows one to eliminate unfeasible answers in a logical manner - is that so bad?

Incidentally, hitherto when I shared my reasoning with others I was asked not to. That's why I'm currently hiding it. To ask me now to accede to the reasoning of others seems inconsistent at the least. Maybe I too wish to work things out for myself.

TB - I have made this error in the past. Perhaps only 1 of 'wind' and 'pass' is correct. In which case, nc's 3rd link is correct.
