Gordon (skiiltan) | 2940 comments Ho hum. So far this morning both ticket machines at Shrewsbury have been out of order, meaning I had to queue for the ticket window to get my pre-booked ticket from the man who clearly had no more wish to be at the station at quarter past six than I had. Then the train only had two coaches instead of four, so there are lots of very grumpy people standing.

Anyone want to run a sweepstake on what happens at Wolverhampton? Train not turning up? Turning up but seat reservations not working (most likely option)? Turning up late? Getting stuck at Sandwell & Dudley due to malevolent spirits in the overhead cables? Signalling error leading to train getting on to wrong track and travelling to Paignton instead of London?

suzysunshine7 | 16038 comments "They developed their own metrics: the Stool Hardness and Transit (Shat) score and the Found and Retrieved Time (Fart) score.

The Fart score – how many days it took the Lego to pass through the bowels – was between 1.1 days and three days, with an average of 1.7 days.

Using the Shat score, the researchers also found the consistency of their stools did not change. They compared Shat and Fart scores to see if looser stools caused quicker retrieval but found no correlation"

I don't know if you do FaceBook Suzy but if ever you need a laugh, may I recommend you subscribe to the Shit Brick Fences of Melbourne page. It won't tax you. You might only get one or two postings each month but the photos and the comments are very funny.

Thanks Suzy.

In the end, it was anything but. But that wasn't the train companies' fault on this occasion.

Lez | 7490 comments From a ‘TalkClassical’ poster in California:

-------------------------------------------------------
‘Burger King is debuting a McDonald's-themed deal. If customers go within 600 feet of a McDonald's location, they can order a Whopper for one cent via the revamped Burger King app.

"If a guest is inside one of these geofenced areas and has the new BK App on their device, the app will unlock the Whopper sandwich for a penny promotion," Burger King said in a press release. "Once the 1¢ Whopper sandwich order is placed, the user will be 'detoured' away from McDonald's, as the app navigates them to the nearest Burger King restaurant for pick up."

HA HA!!! - I can resist your tortuous temptation (well? - just about!) as it isn't all about the Milk Chocolate but more the Brazil Nut with me - and so I actually prefer the ones that still have a generous enough amount of Chocolate on them but are the more rounded Nut shaped ones rather than the squarer Chocolate Box shaped ones ;o>

Mind you? - I would never say no to any kind of Milk Chocolate Brazil on offer! ;o>
