Serial Sock Trumpet (serialsocktrumpet) | 1998 comments Well, well done on reducing the previously amusing and unpredictable 'bollocks/tripe thread', to a stream of dull predictable mediocrity.

10/10.

Sorry. I started this. I didn't think it would catch on like a wildfire. Perhaps someone should set up an adverbs game thread instead. (He said, moderately.)

But it seems to have turned into yet another word(s) game!

Does that mean, that on this thread, I can say Fu.......?! :)

TwoddleBungler | 4920 comments Serious question: What is the actual purpose of this thread? Is it merely to give links to other sites that mention tripe or bollocks as one contributor has done or is there some other motivation or history of the thread we are supposed to know from the previous Amazon forum? I'm happy to leave if I'm not welcome.

message 120: by suzysunshine7 (last edited Oct 16, 2017 08:56AM) (new)

suzysunshine7 | 16038 comments @Duke: I don't know why you would want to? - but yes, I suppose you could.

However it might create offence to the other Group Forum Members - and Gordon would also have to consider changing this Group Forum over to being a private one and an Adult only Forum just in case any offence that might be created ended up being reported to Goodreads.

It existed on one of the Music Forums and, the way that I understand it was that, it was created as somewhere that people could just chat, swap daft asides, mess around and share in jokes while all of the other Threads were more exclusively all about Music ;o>

Ohhh, and of course you are very welcome, TB ;o>

As suzy says, you are very welcome,TB,especially as the perpetrator of the wittiest posts in our harmless little ad hoc game. The original purpose of the 'bollocks' thread was that it had no purpose.

Twoddle...
this started some years ago where we could post silly items from newspapers, daft spam emails, quiz show mistakes etc. etc.
Have a look at the first page, might give you some idea. 😀
