Morning Martin. How are you and the family faring, hopefully keeping warm and cosy. We’ve had sleet/snow but as yet it’s not laying. All good here and sorting/packing is coming together albeit there’s awhile to go yet. I finish work this coming Friday. 😀
You still working your long hours? It seems more like March to me rather than just into February but as always time flies doesn’t it.
Take care and catch you somewhere later. 😎
Ps. How’s that tome going? 😉

Hi Jemma, yeah things not to bad at the moment, Mrs O' is much better apart from some deafness which is driving her up the wall, she is using Otex but so far to no avail. Workwise I have tried to cut back on doing to many shifts and I'm only doing one or two a week so that's alright. I'm afraid the reading has taken a back seat at the moment, I am very easily distracted by music, dvd's etc and a very short attention span for anything else. Just passed my 63rd birthday last week but fairly uneventful, they come round so quick its frightening, with a dose of morbid shadows of mortality creeping up on me it is no longer something to look forward to I suppose. Best not dwell on it so I look forward to spring and summer of another year and count my blessings. Best wishes and Ciao4now🐶!

Afternoon Martin. A belated “Many Happy Returns” and hope you had a good one. 🍺 🍺 😃
It’s good to hear Mrs O is getting back to her normal self even with the hearing problem....ohh! Glad you’re sticking to your work plan it’s very easy to slip into doing more and more hours, come Friday I will have the hours to myself to do whatever. 😉
63 is no age now....just think of the 100 mark that puts a totally different spin on your present age and there’s no reason why many more people shouldn’t reach that big number hopefully in fairly good health. 😎 I’ve packed my CD’s away and just relying on my iPod at the moment but I’ve been reading a bit more. We too are looking forward to the better weather and as always it’ll soon come round. You all take care of yourselves and catch-up with you soon.
Meow for now! 🐱 😊

Afternoon Martin. :o) How`s everything with you all?
Ditto Paul Kossoff, Free, Bad Company are my favourites especially Paul Rogers which I might have mentioned before. ;o)
Weather`s still very cold but only rain so far here with a touch of sleet for good measure, this weekend`s forecast is very gloomy though.
Still forging on with packing and sorting out paperwork at the mo but it`s got to be done I suppose. Have you bought any new albums lately? I treated myself to a Michael Bolton CD for a very reasonable price but as yet haven`t played it...hmm!
Take care and stay warm. Meow for now. ;o)

Hi Jemma, we're all good here thanks at the moment and more cold weather to look forward to. Work load has shot up again thanks to one of our team leaving for pastures new so some busy weeks ahead but we have been promised some support but recruitment has not been very succesful recently. However I have told them I am only prepared to do so much and after next month I won't be "volunteering" for extra hours so the ball's in their court. I still haven't got around to booking any holidays yet which I really must sort out.
On a brighter note, no new music for a while, at least not bought, but the kindle fire has proven to be an invaluable source of free stuff to listen to now that I've sussed how to get it when I'm out and about. Great to hear from you, I have been meaning to drop you an email via goodreads just to catch up, things seem to have dried up on here (again) and I know you've been busy. Ciao4now kittykat, woof woof 🐶!

I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight - Bobby Darin

Afternoon Martin. Glad to hear you’re all ok. Yes, a cold snap for the weekend again albeit we’ve been more lucky than a lot of people yourself included. That’s a shame and replacements are hard come by but on the other hand you’ve got to do what’s right for you especially when it comes to overtime. I have finished now (9th Feb) but even if we were not moving I would have left. Last year was a nightmare and certain things were becoming intolerable so you stick to your guns. I would think you could all do with a holiday make time for yourselves. 😊 ☀️
It’s good your Kindle has bought you a new pleasure and we don’t often get anything free in this world....sometimes we get what we don’t need but...!
Us old stalwarts are always here somewhere with a little help from Suzy and Tim. I’m getting through the jobs-to-do list now and the big haul will come at the end of March. Paperwork is harassing but has to be done. 🎶.... Keep on keeping on... 🎶 Meow for now. 🐱

Thanks for the advice Suzy I’ll keep my kettle to hand...😃 xx

Hi Jemma, whilst browsing recently came across a Paul Kossoff compilation album which is pretty top notch. Teamed up with various artists, Kossof, Blue Soul, contains some rare live toons from Free which are particularly good. Enjoying a brief but welcome respite from work today and a few days off next week, hope the snow doesn't cause too much hassle, apparently the forecast is pretty dire for the coming days ahead. Catch up with you whenever, Ciao4now 🐶!
