Your punt looks fine Anita. :-)
I predict Newcatle will need a new manager by the time these games have been played. Have a great Christmas everyone, and a peaceful and fun packed New Year, COYS!!

Paul Clement, Swansea's manager, was sacked this Wednesday Duke. :-(

Joyeaux Noel one and all.

Nor do chefs, waiters, pub staff, carers, etc. But the footballers do get paid an awful lot of money.

So will Stoke City. I thought Mark Hughes would have been at Swansea by now.

Paul Clement, Swansea's manager, was sacked this Wednesday Duke. :-("
Yeah so I saw on the news....and still not getting better for the poor ol Swans....Liverpool mullered them!
I wonder how many matches will be able to go ahead this weekend, given some of the pitches are currently snowed up!

Nor do chefs, waiters, pub staff, carers, etc. But the footballers do get paid an awful ..."
True....and I dare say more deserving of a decent wage than these over-paid ballers!

As much as I like them, Duke, I might even call them my 2nd team if one can have such a thing, I think (and hope) that they'll get a 3-0 spanking.

So will Stoke City. I thought Mark Hughes would have been at Swansea by now."
Hmmm. :-/

Well the Christmas punt certainly shook things up a bit! It's now pretty tight at the top,
An excellent effort of 42 from one of the new boys, Graeme, earns him a "virtual" bottle of bubbly and catapults him to the top of the standings but not by much.
Runner up on 39 was Sussex who gets himself a huge pile of roast potatoes and parsnips to wade through.
Joint third were SJ and Deano on 33. They get to share a luxury Christmas Pudding.
Very well played those four.
The remaining punters get a couple of Brussels sprouts each. I'm more than happy to take them off your hands if you're not keen.

You're too kind, David but don't praise Graeme too much ;-)
I got to see plenty of games over the holiday period including last Thursday's, about which you're probably a lot happier than I am.

We put out a strong side, Tech but in general, I agree with your rant.

..."
was happy with the point - not with the way we played

Can't argue too much with any of that Tech - will the TV money bubble burst?

Tech - I can't see much difference between the Premier League and any other top European league. You could argue we are lucky to have a top six, most have between 1 and 3 teams who could expect to challenge for the top spot. The difference between the top 6 and the rest of the league in terms of quality, points and goal difference does seem to be widening. However has there ever been a time when matches between teams, other than those challenging for the title, were of interest to anyone beyond supporters of the clubs involved?

Ah well...here's hoping things improve:
