There were so many titles listed in The Storied Life Of A.J. Fikry that I have already read and loved that I thought I would use it as suggestion box for the next time I am stumped as to what to read next. I was wondering if anyone has compiled a complete list of works mentioned in the book and if they wouldn't mind sharing his or her hard work with the other readers here?

Carolyn I don't think this is the complete list, but as I was reading I jotted down the following stories that I thought I'd like to read:
- Fitzgerald, The Diamond As Big As The Ritz
- Harte, The Luck of Roaring Camp
- Bausch, What Feels Like The World
- O'Connor, A Good Man Is Hard to Find
- Shaw, The Girls In Their Summer Dresses
- Paley, A Conversation With My Father
- Bender, Ironhead
- Carver, What We Talk About When We Talk About Love

Rachel Pollock The author has a list on her website now: http://gabriellezevin.com/ajbooks/

Galina The thing is great in its simplicity .And I was imbued with confidence towards every word in this book.Turned out I wasn't alone. That is why me ,as well as another readers, wanted to follow the list of books mentioned in this story.Someone said that literature was invented to fight loneliness . I've seen the development of this idea in this book:'We read because we feel alone. We read to know we are not alone. We read and we are not alone''.It also suggests to enjoy by simple things and live in present time because it is just miracle how a little we need to be happy .

Alicia I truly enjoyed this book & read it nonstop til the last page was turned & I agree there are so many mentions that it makes you feel gooooode to know ---that this is our norm
