Mine too 😎

Still, it's an idea?

As for Brassy's sweet 16 idea, I just used the link to check mine. When is the next detest round?

KJS ‘s doesn’t go back far enough.

There was a bandstand in Sheffield’s pedestrianised area and there was music every Saturday. One week there was a large steel (of course) band and they played an absolutely amazing version of Heart of Glass. Liked it ever since.

I'm probably just being a bit dense but how does it work? I know it says to put the Date in but I can't work out where on the Page to do it?

https://www.thisdayinmusic.com/birthd......"
Click on 1 - JAN - 1946 to change the day, month and year then SHOW ME THE NO.1

https://www.thisdayinmusic.com/birthd......"
Suzy, you replace 1 Jan 46 with your date.

Maybe it is a Page with functions that work on a different Browser or Device? ;oO

This is SO weird?! - I wonder why my Page is different? I just have a Banner Heading over the Juke Box that says ... Birthday No.1 - What was the No.1 song on the day you were born? Enter your date of birth and listen to it!" ... but there is nowhere to click or to type anything in and hovering over it with my Cursor does nothing either?
If someone has got a spare minute, would they kindly look up 08/06/1968 for me and let me know what my five options are? All I have for the UK and the US is a choice between 'Young Girl' and 'Mrs Robinson' so far - and 'Young Girl' has unfortunately got some rather dubious Lyrics in it that I'm not particularly keen on ;oO

Australia had This Guy's In Love With You - Herb Alpert
Germany had Delilah - Tom Jones
PS if you're seeing the jukebox with the date 1 Jan 1946 you should be able to move your cursor on to the 1 and tap whereupon a choice of 1-31 opens up so you scroll and select then move on to the month and year likewise.

The Jukebox is completely blank - I've tried changing the Page Setting on 'Compatibility View' but all it did was just make the Page go all weird.
I guess I'll have no choice but to give up on I.E. and Windows 7 soon because I've just recently discovered that it now doesn't like the Home Page of eBay and always crashes within barely a minute of me trying to access it ... and I'm guessing that this is something similar that is happening with this too ... GRRR!!!

Officially, we stopped doing the detest rounds, except for Lez's tweaked round that we just had. But i can bring it back again, if folks want it?

KJS ‘s doesn’t go back far enough."
Mines not too bad, in the UK Adamski & Seal's was at No1 for 4 weeks with the reworked Killer, when i turned 16.
The others were: US & New Zealand: Madonna - Vogue; Canada: Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U & in Germany.... Matthias Reim - Verdammt, Ich Lieb' Dich....no idea & i don't like any of 'em! Can't stand Mad Donna or that soppy Connor song!

I stopped using IE11 (the last version introduced in 2013, and although is still supported by MS for now, it is by far the worse ISP of all now! I gave up on it, after getting fed up with it freezing up all the time, if i had more then 2 tabs open, so now use the latest version of Firefox. Much much better. Costs nothing to download, and is just as easy to use. Only minor layout differences, so you could download that Suzy.
As far as i know, mainsteam support for W7 stopped in 2015, but extended support (whatever that is?!) will end on Jan 14th 2020, so you still got a wee bit time left yet...before you'll need to upgrade to crappy W10! :)

You know how easy-going I am (unless severely provoked) so just a high voice somewhere in the song'll do - Jimmy Somerville, that Walking In The Air lad and Tiny Tim qualify in spades but Andy Bell's OK. Just use your judgement. Some links to help;

In short, no. Think Jimmy Somerville, or that guy out the Stylistics, or the Bee Gees, or The Four Seasons

..."
Ahem. Aled Jones's nads hadnae dropped when he did walking in the air, so he doesn't count! 😂

I thought it was Peter Auty who originally sang that theme song to The Snowman in 1983? Aled Jones performed it 2 years later, because Auty was then 15 and his er...unmentionables had dropped!

NOBODY better spoil 'The Snowman & The Snow Dog for me' though!

Neither have i..or that recent one!

I prefer By-Tor & The Snow Dog 😉

I'll never be able to watch 'The Snowman' again now!"
Always glad to be of service, Suzy 😄

i got a pan of boiling salty water says different!

I prefer By-Tor & The Snow Dog 😉"
Me too, Tim :-)

Mr Stapleton later claimed some didn't even exist, but research seems to suggest all in fact, did. http://nwwlist.org is where to go; click on 'artists' then on 'named' which contains all those on the list. The albums included are merely suggested. You don't have to stick with them; anything by that artist is ok. Nothing from the 'Related' or 'More' sections please. There should be plenty of bands known to all but the most sheltered of souls! You will get kudos points for the weirder side of things though. - Tim
