There's one in Shrewsbury market hall. It smells delicious but..."
Hiyah Gordon, I've just seen your Post to me on 'Don't Kill The Snails With Salt' and thought that I'd respond to you here in case I accidentally distract from the flow of Posts on their Thread. I understand this to be a rather quirky, friendly, and fun Group Chat Thread that was previously happily settled in on a Harry Potter Forum on Amazon UK for many years.
The small Group who regularly contributed to it were given a link by another Member to come here and so one of them, Granny, turned up yesterday (feeling rather lost like most of us do at the moment) and asking after any of the others. I went and took a look on Amazon at their lovely Thread and managed to work out from the Profiles that there was indeed another Member called 'P' who had also joined Amazon Exiles and they made contact with each other in this Arrivals Lounge last night.
I wasn't sure where you would decide was best for their Group Home Thread, being as it is far more of a Chat orientated one for which we have no Folder set up yet, but wanted to get a Thread set up for them so that they could continue to find each other on here in future, start to settle in and make themselves at Home, and get chatting once again ;o>
It's now possible to post on the Amazon threads again. So if you want to go over there and give them a roasting, now's your chance.

suzysunshine7 wrote: "I wasn't sure where you would decide was best for their Group Home Thread, being as it is far more of a Chat orientated one for which we have no Folder set up yet"I'd hoped the Trackless Wastes folder would be where everything would end up that has no obvious home. I've changed the name of the General folder to The Holding Pen to avoid confusion between "general" (which seems to be built in to the structure of Goodreads forums and can't be renamed or deleted, although it remains invisible if there are no threads in it) and "General" (which I created when I set this forum up).
I'll put a sticky thread in the holding pen to say that people should start threads there if they can't work out where else they belong and I'll move them once I work out where people are most likely to expect to find them.

That sounds great, Gordon ;o>
This Group Forum is really coming together well and shaping up very nicely indeed.
And Bless you for making it all possible ... x x x

Folks in Kilmarnock do realize that street food doesn't mean a Glasgow salad that someone's dropped on the street when he stopped to water a lamp-post, right?
theDuke wrote: "Glaswegians eating salad? That's a myth surely?! ;-)"You should try Googling 'Glasgow Salad' like I just did, Duke ... HA HA HA!!! ;o>

Suzy, you are sunshine itself. Bless you!
The pleasure was all mine, P ;o>I've left a Post on Amazon for Patricia (who I happen to know well from the other Amazon Forums) and hopefully they will come and join you very soon.

theDuke wrote: "Let me guess...it's chips, isn't it?! It's just gotta be that!"Ohhh it's Chips PLUS EVERYTHING ELSE AS WELL so long as it isn't healthy in any way possible and it isn't green! - LOL!!! ;o>
Quote ... "Full of yummy fats, salts and more than enough calories in it to be able to fuel a baby Elephant for the day"
Yep! That says it all for poor old Scotland....the land of the waddling baby elephants! And I think I can just about get away with sayin' that, being part Scots (he says tenuously!)!
Tech wrote: "Now mountain chicken that is something not had but would try."surely that's a felony, spirit! :)"
Might be for you tech for me it is
Leptodactylus fallax, commonly known as the mountain chicken or giant ditch frog, is a species of frog that is native to the Caribbean islands of Dominica and Montserrat.
Mind you maybe not now as is critically endangered.

If it can't decide whether its habitat is mountains or ditches I'm not really surprised that it's endangered.
If it can't decide whether its habitat is mountains or ditches I'm not really surprised that it's endangered. Probably deciding how to hide from people eating it.
