I have to go to Bed ... but I've just woken up and realised I needed to switch off my Laptop ... only to see the Official Announcement is up and across all of the Threads on all of the UK Forums too ;o<This really is it then - and a massive and very heartfelt thanks from me to our lovely Gordon for planning ahead, creating our new Home, and then bringing us all over together onto here ... x x x
I just hope we don't lose anyone in the changeover. Where are you nocheese, spacepig, blastro, RedJohn, etc????
Hello to all the 'newbies'....I'm just about set up home here, in me bedsit! Dusted the cobwebs away...quick lick of paint on the walls..the lift down bed installed....an I've managed to find one table and chair, to furnished the place! Now then.....just noticed the entire bar of drinks that Gingerlilly has offered up, an neabody has had a nifter yet.....all the more for me!
Oh......btw...whilst looking in the Goodread's cleaning cupboard, I came across some more camels, anybody need some?......

Well I'm all stocked up on camels for the moment, unless someone has a Sopwith lying around. But maybe someone else could use them.

How many remember those immortal words?
SussexWelsh wrote: "Nocheese wrote: "Someone said there was cheese?"No, none hereabouts :-)"
In the words of Humphrey Bogart in 'Casablanca' - 'I was misinformed'.

WoW?!! - what an amazing journey! ;o>I just released the brakes on my Wheelchair and here I am!!! ... HA HA HA!!! ;o>

But not camel toes, I hope!

Tut. Some people's minds...
Speaking of which, could folks let me know if they want this forum to be open to over-18s only? I quite like the idea of its being (a) reasonably free of swearing and (b) somewhere that people who aren't yet fossilized might want to come, which is why I didn't put an age restriction on. If you have any particular reason for wanting it to be adults-only, please let me know.
I have no reason to wish this forum to be adults only. Got me wondering, though, as a newcomer - is there monitoring on here along the lines of the 'zon police? I do hope not.
Nocheese wrote: "I have no reason to wish this forum to be adults only. Got me wondering, though, as a newcomer - is there monitoring on here along the lines of the 'zon police? I assume we're allowed to eat faggots and smoke fags here, not that most of us would want to do either.
Yes, age limits please. 18-21 ladies, preferably blonde, pneumatically enhanced with bank balance to match. Apparently there are a great many Russian women I could point in this direction...
Hang on, I didn't think this was THAT kind of group! And if it is, us ladies want an equivalent supply of men.
sorry, sera, i could only round up 17 ladies of that description! would you make do? "svetlana, stoap sooking the grant's voddie straight oot the boatle, 'n' gauny quit stubbin' oot yir sobranies oan the imperial curtains!"

I'm really not all that hard to please? - I'll just have the absolutely drop-dead gorgeous Robert Redford from when he was back in his 1970's prime please? ;o>

Hi gang, I've got to say this is difficult to find & navigate. Will the footy threads be here or on another forum page?

Stick with it, MC ... x x x ... I absolutely hated it on here at first - but it's getting an awful lot easier and much more fun now to work it all out and to remember how to find my way around ;o>

Wow! For a moment there, i thought Gingerlilly was a bloke! 🤣

MC - Sussex has brought the footy over here, just go to Discussions in the list, top right.
Good to see you here!
If anybody's interested, the US Amazon music forum seems to be migrating to proboards:http://amazon-music-forum.proboards.com/
Duke wrote: "How does one post a picky on here, I can only C&P links of piccy's."I'm on a tablet at the moment, Duke. I'll post more complete instructions later. If you click on the "(some html is ok)" link at the top right of the message box there is code you can cut & paste to embed an image. It will only work for images that have a URL: you can't post a picture from your own disc drive. It's not easy to do properly, unfortunately.
Duke wrote: "Dun mind me folks...just working out how put up a picky....img src="https://www.goodreads.com/image..." width="40" height="100" alt="description"/>"
You are missing the '<' at the start
Well done for being prompt in setting this forum up, Gordon. There are going to be many nomadic Amazonians wanting a new home!
Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "Duke wrote: "Dun mind me folks...just working out how put up a picky....img src="https://www.goodreads.com/image..." width="40" height="100" alt="description"/>"
I have added that Ginger...still not working...must be size limit or summin'
Duke, it's to do with how you're pasting in the image source. I can't post quick instructions here because it turns the URL into a live link and you then can't copy & paste the full address. If the rest of my trains run on time and I actually manage to get home tonight I can post step-by-step instructions then. I just missed a connection at Stafford, which now means I'll miss my next connection at Wolverhampton. Dontcha love it?
Ah..ain't that a bummer Gordon....Well don't worry about it....I guess i'll figure it out soon enough.
I just tried an image too but it didn't work out and so I'll be very interested in Gordon's Step By Step Guide too - but only when you have the time and the energy, Gordon. It sadly sounds like you are having a nightmare of a journey home and I hope you make it back safe and well and get to put your Feet up and relax ASAP ... x x x
I'll try and explain it .You put {img src="linkylinkylinkylinyklinyk"/}
but instead of the curly brackets put > at the end and < at the beginning .
Lets see if this posts properly.
Ahhhh...I put the img link in from 'some html is ok'...so it's just img src followed by the link url & those sideways chevrons too...right let's see if get this right this time....be back in a mo...

Okay? ... (*EDITED*) ... Nope? - I'm still getting links instead but it doesn't really matter because it looks like links take up far less Thread page room anyway ;o>
