Unfortunately, Ron didn't come across to DND either, and we all miss him, something that was much talked about at the time.
Ohhh, poor Ron ;o<And I bet he really misses us too. Well, we certainly did our very best to get him to come over before the Amazon Forums were shut-down forever - and I don't honestly think that we could have done anymore than we did.
Duke said months ago that he hadn't turned up yet - but you live in hope that lovely vulnerable folk like Ron don't get left behind. If only he had taken us up on our Email Addresses or offered us one to contact him then this surely would never have happened ;o<
Facebook has today changed its 'notifications' icon from a globe to a Goodreads-style bell. What can this mean?
I just took a look - and yep! - mine has changed as well.Oddly though, considering it has just happened to the both of us at the same time, a search on Google suggests that this sudden change of Icon has been happening to other Facebook accounts for at least year now?
That is weird. So maybe just because Mark hasn't been in touch to let me know that Cambridge Analytica hacked my account, it doesn't mean he won't still be doing so? :)
I think that Mark might possibly be a bit busy for a little while longer ;o>

10,000 sign our mountain hare cull open letter!
We're just a few signatures away (24 to be exact) from reaching 10,000 signatures on our open letter to the Scottish Government calling for urgent action to be taken to protect Scotland’s mountain hares in time for the start of the open season on the 1st of August. Yeh, I got it too. They now have 10,300 "signatures" for that mountain hare campaign.
Is it just me or is it the same for everyone else? The individual forum member profiles seem to have changed slightly. We now have the circular "dodgy dinner plate" pictures that we had on Amazon in the end.

Yep, just clicked on a couple of members profiles and their pictures are coming up round, including my own. When I clicked onto 'more photos' on my profile, the pictures there were rectangular.

I couldn't quite follow what you meant, Helen, as the box pics on here are square? - so I clicked on my Profile and yes, my main Profile picture is also a circle now and it definitely wasn't one yesterday.

They are only circular when you look at a particular individual profile, and it's only the main profile picture...so far! I couldn't remember if they had always been like that. I hope they don't start faffing around with these forums like they did on amazon. 😞
Yeah, I feel the same way. I really didn't find it to be easy settling in on here after being on Amazon - but I've almost got myself to liking being on here now and so the last thing that I want is for the Forum Layouts and Formats to suddenly start changing and re-arranging themselves all around us! ;oO
Like Grizzly says though, the other pictures we can put up are still showing as rectangular in shape - so I don't get why they felt the need to mess around with the shape of the Profile one? - LOL! ;o>
