Noticed you had on your "to read" list, and since it's also on mine for this summer I'd recommend that one. Also, if you like fairy tale retellings, I highly, highly recommend and , both by Alethea Kontis in her Woodcutter Sisters Series. She is an amazing author, so much fun, great for summer reading!

Hummingbird is paranormal and urban fantasy story about a girl, Naomi, who discovers that not only does she have special powers but she's the first to do so in 50 years. The 'Shadows' - dark spirits determined to cause chaos - have broken through into our world again and only Naomi, with the help of her shadow guide, the handsome and playful Jesse, can stop them.
