How do you think the technology involved in Warcross affects the world and society?

Examples: crime rates, instant gratification, travel and entertainment.

I think it does have an impact. Emika's roommate basically spends her whole day playing by Warcross and I get the impression that's not unheard of either. Plus it seems to be growing in popularity rather than decreasing, which suggests there may be some negative effects of it, namely people getting addicted to it.
