I'm sorry to ask a stupid question but I do not know what in my site(s) this relates to. I'm using Wordpress and plugins running on privately hosted sites and I have not got the first idea what this message tells me that I need to look at changing. Apologies if it is obvious to all of you, but I really have no idea.

Hi Rosemary, i checked some of the widgets on your website and there shouldn't be any action on your end to take. The goodreads widgets that are served by us directly have already the updated urls with https. This post refers for 3rd parties developers who build apps that consume Goodreads data.
Hope this helps

To better protect user privacy and security, we will be enabling HTTP to HTTPS redirection for all requests to goodreads.com on December 4th.
To prevent your applications from breaking, please do one of the following before December 4th:
Make sure your applications support HTTPS redirects
Update your applications to make only HTTPS requests
Let the us know if you have any questions.
Best,
The Goodreads Team
