Lynno I haven't got a particular title in mind, but could anyone recommend a good romance where the hero is a farmer, preferably English/British rather than a rancher, although that would be ok.
I've always thought I could see myself as a farmer's wife, and I'd really like to read something along those lines. Thanks for all suggestions!

Brenda | 70 comments An Author whose last name was Garlock wrote a book called "The Edge of Town" set in the 1940's I think. It has been a long time since I read it, but it has both a female hero and a male hero. It is re: a little town and farmers and farmer's relatives. It has mystery and romance and it loaded with the way farming and farm chores, etc were done back then. Charming, harsh, loving, and forgiving, and sweetness, too. I actually loved this book. I have bought another book by this author, but a sequel to Edge of Town exists; I just haven't gotten around to ordering it from Barnes N Noble. It is not popping up in secondhand stores. I will pay full price for this good author. Try it.

willaful I just read The Lady's Companion by Carla Kelly, which was lovely. Not technically a farmer, but it amounts to the same thing.
