The picaresque flavor of Days Without End by Sebastian Barry never quite worked. Prose was lyrical but slow moving for me in audio. I found many of the plot points implausible. Other than the narrator, the characterizations were sketchy. All in all, a 3 star read.

You and I so often agree Denizen! It was a disappointment for me too. I ended up listening on 2x speed just to get it over with!
