The series name does not show in the book title, though - is this something that will appear once the change has been digested by the system? Or do I / someone have to check a particular box somewhere? Sorry for being clueless...

The series name has to be manually added to the title field for it to show on certain pages.
On the book page, it shows when the book is added to the series.
