Hi all, I'm Kat. I just joined this group and am loving it. This is my first group challenge.
I can take legs or feet. I'm already planning to read Odd Thomas
I can read any others needed but would prefer not to read vampires, college or romance.
Hey Kat, welcome I guessI'm the captain, or so I was told, I completely forgot about this challenge, so I'm sorry for the delay on creating this thread.
This is my first time as a captain, and playing this challenge, so..... :)

Glad you are here now :) Thanks for volunteering to be captain.
No problem..... Just always remember I took a hit for you guys. Okay I'm kidding and I'm being weird, don't mind me.Do you guys think we should give us a name instead of team 1?
Hi Team!Here is the spreadsheet
Please make sure you can view it. I would like everyone to make sure I've entered your books.
When you finish a book, I need a post like this:
Completion Post
Book/author:
number of pages:
date read:
task & how it fits OR simply write WATTAGE
Example:
Completion Post
Book: Empathy for a Killer by Sarah Masters
number of pages: 202
date read: 10/5/17
task: head
I can do the head, Mary Shelley's lifetime (1797-1851), set in Europe, and romance. These I already have planned for other challenges. I can do all or some.If necessary, I can find something sci-fi, college, and torso.
I do have arms, but only if we're stuck.
Because I am too competitive for my own good, I wouldn't let us fail over a vampire book or non-fiction...but, it would pain me to read it.
Maritza wrote: "Hi guys was waiting for thread to open, as for name I was thinkingBits n Pieces"
I like it
Susan A wrote: "Because I am too competitive for my own good, I wouldn't let us fail over a vampire book or non-fiction...but, it would pain me to read it.."One of these days I need to read Twilight so I can if needed. I have no problem with non-fiction.
So I was messing around with my TBR and seeing what I had that would fit...Here's what I can cover readily: (I mean, not ALL of these, but I could cover any of these...right?)
The body -
1 non-fiction book (for brains)
The Daily Show: An Oral History as Told by Jon Stewart, the Correspondents, Staff and Guests
1 romance book (for the heart)
1 vampire book (for the blood)
The Vampire's Mail Order Bride or Kiss of the Vampire
1 book where only a head is on the cover
1 book where only a torso is on the cover (a little bit of arms is okay)
1 book where only arms or hands are on the cover
1 book where only legs or feet are on the cover
As for team name, my husband suggested "The Univeralists" because Universal Studios put out all of the monster movies. I pointed out that we're reading BOOKS. LOLThen he suggested "Post-Modern Prometheus" due to the books sub-title being 'A Modern Prometheus'
*I* think we shouldn't have a name, just like Frankenstein's Monster. :) "Nameless"?
I have no objection to the name "Bit & Pieces" either.
Another group mentioned having their number in the name so we could do something like "One bit and some extra pieces" or since Mary Shelley is English "One bit and and several bobs"I like "Post-Modern Prometheus" too.
Hey everyone and welcome. I'm supposed to be the Captain, but I'm a really nice person and I'll let you burn down the house.Maritza I like it too and if it's okay with everyone we'll go with "Bits n Pieces"
And Susan A, no one will force to read those, I'll do it for you.
But you heard the Big Boss ( AkA Lanelle) in Post 18, NO READING TILL OCT 2
Bits n Pieces works for meI'd like to nail down what everyone is reading for their first book. I want to take Legs/Feet Odd Thomas.
Susan A and Tallyho: Have you already decided what book you want to start on Oct 2?
Abir and Maritza: Which items are you interested in and/or don't want?
I'll read An Unsuitable Heir for Europe and finish it by the weekend. It is released on 10/3. The Mary Shelley's lifetime (1797-1851), Damon Snow and the Viscount Temptation, I am hoping to double this up with another challenge, so if it called for BINGO, I'll read it, if it doesn't I'll hold off as long as I can, but I promise I am good to get it done by the challenge end.
I have
on my kindle already, so that would be easiest for me! It also fulfills another challenge. :)I'll also commit to
for the torso, unless we don't think that will qualify since it's from the back?
I haven't decided what I'm gonna read yet, I have something on my hands right now hopefully it will be done by tomorrow, I'll let you know, I'm open for anything really so I'll find something.Remember no reading till Oct 2nd or it won't be accepted.
OK, Lanelle scuttled
, too much bum.Torso is up for grabs. :)
ETA: I think
will do fine for torso, and I have that on my kindle already as well. :)
I'll probably be done with my first book tomorrow or the next day. Do I have these correct? Are there any updates? (I'll update this until Abir gets back to do the official post.)
1 book set in Europe: Book 1 Susan A, also Abir

Mine are correct. I have a head, college, and romance that I plan to read this month, so if no one else takes those, I can. I don't have science fiction planned, but I can add that if necessary.
I started my torso book first. Went to be sure it was on my kindle, it opened to an interesting looking poem, and here we are, 20% later.
I started a book that is set in London, 1813! So, we'll have Mary Shelley's lifetime covered as well. Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake

You girls are the most effcient group I've ever been into. Thank God because it's one hell of week for me, my baby niece is staying with me and no paper is safe around her. All my books and work stuff are on closets and cabinets. Plz bear me for a week and if not you can kick me out. I totally understand.

Susan I noticed I can't add anything to the spreadsheet. I thought I could add who read what and who'll read what and how we're progressing, but it won't give me the hand.Kat has been keeping tabs on that, but if we can fill the spreadsheet, it will be easier.
Could you do something about that, please?
Yes, I had intended to fill in COMPLETED books - -which would just be the 3. I can do that now. I'm kind of lost on the planned books as we seem to have multiples for most topics.
UPDATED to here.
We still need wattage! 10 books. So dupes can go in wattage, right?Whoever completes first gets the tag for the Item, otherwise it goes to wattage?
