It's different.....that's the only comparison I can make, I think.....The romance isn't that much too my liking somehow, but the plot has me hooked!

21% (view spoiler)[ Ok, I am loving this! I love Rook. Somehow he makes me think of a child, but a really dangerous one. Just the way he reacts to things she says and does. The Fairy Beast horse thing was so cool. And I love anything to do with ravens. Isobel is great! And I love how well Margaret Rogerson has written the way she immerses herself into her art. I tend to stick away from Fae/fairy books as I was rather put off by Sarah J Maas' books and Holly Black's. Anyways, I am really loving this! I look forward to finding out what will happen in her trial. Also is the whole court thing something that all fairy books do or no? I was wondering if it had come from some mythology or something. I really liked SJM and Holly Black, so I think I generally like fairy/fae books, thought those two might be the only ones I've read, so not much opinion to draw here.
I'm not sure, but I think it might be, since it was really similar to ACOTAR with the courts. I want to know more about this now, since it's similar to that in other books too. (hide spoiler)]

As for which one I liked better, this book was definitely better than ACOTAR, but maybe not ACOMAF and ACOWAR......I don't think I can compare.....they focused on different things, and they're pretty different, (though both of them had painters, didn't they? I forgot about that), and it's pretty hard to compare. (hide spoiler)]

We have interesting characters, or to be more accurate, we have an interesting and well developed MC, because I enjoy Rook, but I think he could have had a bit more development too. And we have a great setting, even if, again, the world-building per se could have been a bit more, but we have not much plot wise! (hide spoiler)]
