Locked Edits

I have not seen this before but could someone explain to me the concept of a locked edit & who would have put a lock on the title?

Anniversary edition should not be in the title field, as per the librarian manual. Locking a book if it's data is all correct is at least partially understandable but I do not feel the data is correct.

Please also advise me if there is a particular thread a locked edit book should go if it requires a correction.

Editions are locked for edits by Goodreads staff, for various reasons. Such locks are usually temporary -- most often for a few weeks.

I edited that one, but if you come across any other locked editions, please use the Contact Us link on the Help page if you believe they need edits.
