The gods in this one seem so much more eager to help than the Greek ones, especially the parents. Except for Loki, of course. And what's up with his visions of him? Jus take Zeus and Odin. Zeus already knows everything and only comes to earth to f****. Literally.
While Odin doesn't know everything and seeks knowledge. So he has to interact with other people.
Besides the Greek myth are all about heroes and their adventures never the gods, while the Norse ones are all about the Gods having adventures.
so, it is a different view on gods really, that te Norse Gods seems more helpful.

I assumed the link with Randolph would go when he did. Also, I think Riordan just likes his heroes to have dreams. It seems to be a theme in all her series regardless of the pantheon.

I knew a lot more about Greek mythology than Norse going into this. It makes me want to go research now.
