Maggie felt a deep betrayal after learning of Dan's duplicity. Did you understand her conflict? Did he do a decent enough job initially in explaining why she shouldn't feel used?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments If I put myself in her place, I certainly understand her point. Under those circumstances, she had a right to hesitate.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I totally understand why she felt betrayed and her anger was completely justified. I liked that she it took her time to forgive him.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments Being used and feeling betrayed are justifiable feelings for Maggie, both right after the raid and 14 years later when he shows up again. I would have done some serious physical damage to him, if it was me. I don't think there was anything he could have said that would have explained and made her feel less betrayed.

Totally understood her feelings. She loved him and risked her life for him. He walked away and didn’t look back so how else was she to feel but used? He didn’t do a good job of explaining himself because there really wasn’t a good enough explanation. But, over time, he shifted her feelings by showing his had grown deeply.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I can't imagine anyone not feeling betrayed after he used her and then left her thinking he was dead. He might have explained the circumstances to her now, but it would take some time for her to trust him again.
