ABANDONED. Y/A book about a girl who discovers she’s adopted and has special powers

I read this book in maybe 2013 or 2014 and it’s about a girl and she starts seeing stuff like weird black smoke around people and her mom ends up sending her to a mental hospital. She finds out she’s adopted and that her mother isn’t a good person and she goes on a trip to find her real mom with a guy. In the end, when she finds her real mom, her mom’s already dying. But her mom tells her that she has other sisters and that she’s part of some special species or something that has to reproduce. Her mom says that if she’s with a guy, he’ll want to have sex with her, and if she has sex with someone, she’ll get pregnant no matter what, and the guy will die.

I can’t for the life of me remember anything about the title or author. I think it might be part of a series but I’m not sure.
