Quantum (quantumkatana) I read a note on this on BBC.com that was so brief that it wasn’t worth linking to. the gist of it was to have a list of mistakes not to make. But I think we can expand it to a list of things not to do b/c they’re time-wasters.

Do you have such a list?

I don’t, but I’m going to create one. One of my not-to-do’s is no Twitter—but truth be told, I haven’t been on it for months. Maybe no Goodreads while I’m writing! ^_^

Or maybe positive to-do lists are more effective—as long as you add time to relax and reasonable instant gratification. What do you think?

Rita Chapman | 156 comments I've got a list of words for my writing - when I edit I check to see I haven't used these words too often! Word such as suddenly, then etc. And I don't do Twitter.

Quantum (quantumkatana) Like Yahoo, Twitter is on it's way out. There's been a lot of speculation about it as an acquisition target since last year, but no on has bitten.

Instragrams and Snapchats of the new rich media mobile era have taken over.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8073 comments Obama started his administration by saying his goal was "Don't do stupid stuff," and I think that was a bad philosophy for a president. Having a to-do list is much more productive. I have to say, though, that discussing politics and religion in social settings is a pretty good thing not to do.

Philip (phenweb) I shall not complete a voluntary parachute jump.

There is no need to throw oneself out of a perfectly serviceable airplane, in the vague hope that someone has packed a piece of cloth correctly, and that a tug of a string will cause the cloth to come out, and slow one's gravity induced decent, by sufficient velocity, in time to prevent a large splatter mark on the surface.

Plus I'm scared and I love flying.
