You get 1/4 bonus points for challenge books read and 1/2 bonus points for buddy reads
1/4 = 0.25
1/2 = 0.5
1/4 + 1/2 = 3/4 = 0.75
So we were just multiplying by 1.25, 1.5, or 1.75 to get to the same result as doing x + x/2 + x/4 depending on buddy read/challenge bonuses...

And I'm back down to 1.5x reading speed... it takes a slow narrator, still, to manage 2x... and I have enough trouble with iBooks freezing up without hacking it... I think it's all the audiobooks I download and delete off my phone on a weekly basis...
Have you seen Rob's updated spreadsheet?... he already built tools to rank people by points and he says he can determine the most read book of the year and stuffs...

Okay, I see numbers and anything that even remotely looks like an equation and I swear I black out. Math is my nemesis. I feel I need a sponsor to help me with all this challenge math stuff.

You lost your holiday spirit very quickly :O When you go tooth and claws right from the start you will be exhausted way to soon! This book sounds pretty cool! :) I am still struggling wit The Well of Ascension... And the worst part is, that I couldn't even collect points for this nearly 1000 pages brick... At least I'm not freezing here :D

Sweaters was always on the lower end of the scale for me... some people have been loving them... the main reason I continued past book 1 was that it didn't resolve the Oonagh storyline...

All you need to do is log in with your Google account, go to your tab, and request edit access from the greenish button that says View Only Mode, and once Rob checks and approves, you will be the only person who can touch your tab (other than Rob, as the maker/owner of the sheet for everyone)
It looks like 13 people are using the sheet so far... you can tell because their tabs have padlocks...

....but truly we just need to check in once a month and give Niki our tally. I think actually the "rules" specified a quarterly checkin from all....so if we pop in once a month that should be more than enuf to keep Cap'n happy.
