Could you please confirm?
ETA Also, could you please confirm with which French edition(s) it should be combined? Magritte has a lot of books titled 'Magritte' on his page. Noël has these, though, which look to be the correct ones: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio... (and includes the duplicate of your edition)

Thank you for adding the name of the translator.
I believe the Worldcat listing is correct, however, I believe it would be appropriate to keep Magritte himself as an author/artist as this is an art monograph that primarily consists of images of Magritte’s paintings. Bernard Noël is the author of the text accompanying the images. Here is an example of a similar art monograph with artist, text author, and translator clearly denoted so there is no confusion:

It’s too bad there is no field for original language; it’s a real shortcoming as it’s often necessary to do research outside of GR to discover a book’s original language.
Thanks again for your help on this and I will defer to your judgment if you think it has to match the Worldcat exactly.

According to the Worldcat link, the book with those ISBNs is cop. 1977.
I think (but would like a second opinion) that Magritte should be listed as a secondary author on this.

I'm not certain he should be listed at all. This appears to be *about* Magritte, not by him, although apparently there are images of his artwork.

While I don't think GR would implement it, if you would like to make this suggestion in the Feedback group, I would happily support it.

You are correct that the text is by Bernard Noël.
The illustrations are by René Magritte in the sense that they are images of his paintings.
Thanks again. I misunderstood what was meant originally about combining editions, by all means please follow GR standards.
I will offer the original language suggestion, thanks!
