Prequels, sequels...etc?

The final book is fantastic, but I wish it didn't have to end. *sniffle* Does anyone know if Jonathan Stroud's got plans to make another series based on the same setting/universe? Maybe...an origin story for Skull? (fingers crossed)

Given how open-ended he left the book ((view spoiler)[the Problem isn't yet solved, there's no mention what Lockwood & Co. intend to do once they're adults and lose their Talents, and as you pointed out, very little is known about the Skull's life (hide spoiler)]), it's likely he plans to write a prequel/sequel set in the same world, though not necessarily with the same characters. But as far as I know, there's no official word on it. It's likely Stroud might want to take a short break from the series and come back to it later with fresh ideas. After all, he's been producing a book per year, which is a pretty hectic pace.

I've also not found anything official on it but I also feel like the points Mitali made might just mean that there's a possibility of a sequel in the future. I also though that this might hint towards another book/series: (view spoiler)[Holly once mentioned that she's in love with someone but we never found out who it is - I thought this could be a hint towards a Holly-centered sequel (I mean of course I'd love more of Lucy's POV but I'll take what I can get :D) (hide spoiler)]
Although I'd love an origin story for the Skull too!
