Thanks for choosing that series. I just picked up the newest title in the series when it was on sale several days ago on the Nook. Now if I can just catch a sale on the one before it....I hope you have a weekend full of lots of uninterrupted reading time. I have to drive my sister to pick up her new puppy. She is acquiring a smooth coat Collie to train as her new service dog. Oh boy....sigh back to 5 animals in the house. My two 17 year old cats, her Dalmatian age 4, her Rough Coat Collie age 6 and the new yet to be named puppy. We had to put my late mother's service dog down in July, he was over 12 years old, a great Collie who worked as my sister's service dog as well; he also could detect cancer. Not sure how much I'll get to read this weekend.
Karen, I apologize for keeping you in suspense. But, after looking at your options, I pick Jenn McKinley's library series for you. I keep wanting to read her work, but I can't find it at any of my local libraries. (sigh) Do me a favor and tell me why you like them?

Thanks, Hillary. I've been enjoying these!

Puppy health issue resolved, he is here looking adorable.

For those series it's the dynamic between the three friends and their families that keeps me coming back. Both have a threesome of two female friends and a male friend and although there's romance it's never those tiresome triangles.

Hi Jeanne, I am picking the Haunted Bookshop series for you. Looking forward to hearing more about this new to me series.

Awesome!
Thanks, Kristie. I've had this waiting for me for a long time. Something always delayed it until another day. I'm glad the "another day" finally got here.
Finished book 1, The Probability of Murder last night. I really enjoyed it and it was easy to get back into the series since it's been a few years since I read the first book in the series.
I finished the first book "Bless Here Dead Little Heart" by Miranda James from the Southern Ladies Mystery Series and just loved it. I think I found a new series to hold onto. I'm now starting the second book.

Michelle wrote: "Excuse me where am I suppose to comment or maybe I won't comment at all"it was a joke. :)
Michelle wrote: "Sorry misunderstood"no worries. my TBR is about 6000 books so the last thing I need is another good series -- but i'm always glad to hear about one anyway so i'm glad you commented on your serial read!
I actually finished the challenge early! The Southern Ladies Mystery Series 1 and 2 were great reads. I am heading to Amazon next to purchase the next two books. I highly recommended this series by Miranda James

I think you will like them. I just ordered the last two. Once the mystery begins and grabs hold of you, you just can't but it down. And the second one is a jaw dropper, really, my jaw dropped. Enjoy!
Finished my first October book -- The Ghost and Mrs. McClure. This was the first in a new series for me and, while many elements of the story were similar to many other cozies, the addition of the ghost gave it a little different flavor. I'm looking forward to the next one -- The Ghost and the Dead Deb.

Finished my second (and last) October book, The Ghost and the Dead Deb. I agree with Linda -- the author didn't write enough books in this series.

Finally finished my first book. Been fighting a reading slump. I don't think it has ever taken me nearly two weeks to read a Tourist Trap Mystery. The book was fine, although the killer was easy to figure out. I gave it 4.5 stars which rounded up to 5. I think I will read a non-mystery before reading my second book for this month.
Just finished my first book for the month,
This is a great series for bedtime reading in the first week of term. Easy to read and engaging.
Finished my first book, Killer Run
It was another good addition to the series though the tendency toward repetition got to me. Author also mistakenly called crown molding as wainscoting when talking about remodeling a room.
Gee Meg, I'm one book ahead of you. I just started my second book of this month which is book seven in the series.

I finished my first one yesterday
for some reason it took me a while to get into it (actually I think I can blame the Flu!) but then it raced by :D I am going to finish my Cozy Bingo book and another that I have slated to read and then I can settle down to more sun, sea and murder with

Finished my second book for the month - A Function of Murder. While I enjoyed the story and characters it seemed like such a sloooow read.
Finished my first October book Beware False Profits. I don't know why but it was a little bit slow reading, I like the persons, the mystery and the humour, so I can't say why it took so long to read it.

I haven't begun this month. I'm not so sure, but I'm not reading a lot (mystery, that is, because I joined a PNR-UF Bingo and it's taken most of my time -- and real life takes its toll too).
I finally finished my first book, Kneading to Die, it was mostly a slow book for me but the ending was great. It made me excited for the growth of the series amd the next book.
I've finished second book, Murder on Wheels. Since we can't do partial stars I marked it with four, though my actual ranking hovers around 3.5. A quick, easy read but with inconsistencies and a couple of bothersome points.
I, too, have had a hard time getting time to read this month. I have finally completed my first book
, which was a fairly quick read. I'd give it 3-1/2 stars, as it got a little repetitive (especially with respect to the "love triangle") but otherwise very entertaining.

Thanks! I read the first one several years ago and just recently got more books in the series. Now to remember what it was all about!
