Urg! Just bought an .epub from Kobo to sideload onto my Nook and the darned book has DRM. :-P Why do indie authors do that? Now I get to hound Kobo to give me a refund and can't read it unless I want to haul my desktop around :-P

UPDATE: Brandy emailed me a replacement .epub which works with no pesky DRM. If you run into a snafu, perhaps leave a message for her in the thread?

Thanks Brandy! When you upload to Kobo, you have to check the 'apply DRM' box as OFF or it makes it so people with non-Kobo e-readers can't read your books. It's one of those little boxes that is red/green. Otherwise, you negate the entire point of uploading to Kobo, which is to have widespread global distribution. Will shoot you a PM.
