What role does sex play in the girls coming into their own vs. falling down flat on their faces? How do their choices and experiences shape them?

[Carol]

I'm probably not the best example for this question. The University I went to was very high in the moral world. We were given rules and examples of how we were supposed to live. You ladies would flip and think I was world's worst prude if you heard of the lifestyle we lived while at college. There was supposed to be no sex involved if the students were not formally married according to church standards. I will say that with the strong morals, the students by in large made good choices which prevented them from falling on their faces.
