Photos of living authors can almost never be used, for copyright reasons. We can only add it if the photographer has given explicit consent that their photo can be used without visible credit.

Amazon probably has a special arrangement with them.

Just because one Amazon site has permission to use it does not necessarily mean all Amazon subsidiaries do. For example, that author's photo is not listed on Amazon.com -- just on Amazon.de.

(Author photos are different from covers in many regards, including this one.)
