despite my theory of either loving or hating lost i actually liked that last episode. Time travel looked kinda weird, it felt like a video game or something.

Yeah, I have always liked it, but some episodes and seasons are better than others. They have killed off two of my favorite characters, but if it adds to the story (one of them did) then I don't mind. Some people do give up on it, but I'm too addicted to do that. :) I hope you keep watching.

Lori (tnbbc) Vangelic - Who were your two favs? Was Charlie one? He is the only one i really miss, the others really didnt seem to affect the show too much in my opinion. I just saw Charlie sticking it out for the length of the series. What a shame. He was my kids favorite too. (well, i guess i miss Echo a little, just a little)

message 4: by Howard (new)

Howard (howardmittelmark) I didn't miss the brother and sister too much.

I still don't get why Charlie couldn't have closed the hatch from the outside, though. (This is apparently a controversial minority opinion.)

Lori (tnbbc) I hear ya Howard, my kids and I yelled at the screen for him to do that too. Why the heck would you lock yourself in instead of going out the door and locking the water in? It made no sense.

As far as the ones who died on the island, Shannan and Boone were a bit petty and just pretty faces as far as I was concerned. I didnt care much for Anna.. she was trouble with a capital T, so I was kinda glad she got it.

Libby was a bit of a shock, she had the unfinished backstory with Desmond and the Boat, and the whole knowing Hurley from the nuthouse... So I didnt see the sense in offing her until that played out.

Nikki and Paolo... what was up with them? they were in two episodes, and then Bye, Cya, buried alive? that was awful. Those scenes should never have been put through.

My favorite characters: Locke, Charlie, Mr. Echo, and Desmond. I'm am currently fascinated with Charlotte. I also like Jin and Sun (since I am interested in Korean culture).

So I thought Charlie (even though it seems like he could have escaped possibly) added to the story line, but Echo's did not seem to. HOwever, I re-watched that episode where Echo dies and I think there is a bunch more there that we don't see now.

I kinda liked Boone, but Shannon was annoying. I didn't totally hate Ana Lucia and I liked Libby. I was not a fan of Paolo and Nikki. However, I thought the way they killed them off was fun and interesting. lol. Hey, they listen to the fans to a certian degree.

If they kill Locke or Desmond it will really mess me up. lol.

Howard (howardmittelmark) Yeah, Desmond's great. Very charismatic, and his story's a great mix of elements. I really hated seeing Libby go, both for herself and for Hurley. I'm with the monk on Paolo and Nikki; as horrible as it was, I liked the dark punchline of that episode, like something from the old E.C. horror comics. And though I'm generally a big fan of writers not stepping out in front of their stories, I liked the way they acknowledge that some people are just background, and then bringing them up to the front lines for their big scene.

My favorite episode until recently, btw, remained Locke Walks, from the very beginning. (Not sure what the name is, but you know which one I mean.) Nothing specific has replaced it, but lately I'm just as into the show as I was then.

i liked charlie as well, but my favorite is jack sheppard. In the first season he inspired me to try to go to medical school. Yea i know what you are thinking, its just a show and nothing on that show is real and being a doctor takes alot of skill and not to mention school work. It was very inspiring. Charlie was a great character and i liked that scottish or british accent that he had. When he got killed of the show in that one episode, it made me cry because he was such a good character and i think he should have stayed.

Tulara (iberostar) Desmond's is the most interesting storyline to me and I love to hear him talk (Brutha), but I have to admit my favorite is Sawyer. He's a bad boy, I know - but his simmering stare is a favorite of mine. Of course, I like the other side - the wisecracks, wearing women's glasses because he likes to read and he's probably the most honest-speaking person on the island. I also cried when Charley died and I was so surprised when Anna Lucia died - I thought she kicked butt - literally and figuratively. I miss her - I am still wanting to find out more about Libby. I love Hurley also! He is awesome - when he told Claire about Charley, I was crying and wehen he drove the bus down from the jungle, I was shouting. I miss Echo too.
Didn't care that Shannon or Boone died.

Cassie | 7 comments I was sad when Boone died because I'm shallow. I was sadder when Shannon died because I thought she was interesting and had a lot of potential for character growth. I liked her. I also knew that when she died, that meant there was less opportunity for Boone to show up in a flashback.

I did not enjoy Ana Lucia at all, and was so excited when she died. I was not happy about Libby dying because I liked her and Hurley, plus she also had unanswered questions. HUGE unanswered questions, actually.

Mr Eko was a great character also, and I wish they hadn't gone that route. I was also finally starting to not be annoyed by Charlie when they killed him off. His death was moving, in ways that the other deaths weren't, so I can't complain.

message 11: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Alexandria (rachelvidmar) | 3 comments I think Charlie could've saved himself, but he died on purpose. Desmond kept seeing him dying, and i think he wanted to end it, you know? and that was the best way, a way to go where he helps everyone out. I miss him to death though.

I also loved Echo. He had such a good character and background story that you just became attached to him.

right now, desmond is my favorite. i love him! the way his eyebrow goes up when he's anxious.. lol :D

i used to like jack the most, but now i'm just annoyed with him. i hope he turns out right, or stops being so annoying.

message 12: by Lori (new)

Lori (tnbbc) I have always prefered Locke to Jack, but his whole 'not having a plan' and letting ben get the best of him is starting to piss me off.

Ecko and Locke were both faithful people, and i think thats why Ecko got the boot. I dont think having two like people would have worked out on the island. Each person that is left is very different and very necessary at this point, in my opinion. The only one i see no real plot line for anymore is Claire. She was always sort of Charlies girl, and with the exception of Aaron, she really isnt part of the story anymore. Am I wrong there? Since the season began, shes more just hanging around near everyone.... I have a feeling she'll either become very important soon, or very dead. (Dont forget, we have the whole 'how did Aaron end up with Kate' thing to work out)

message 13: by Lori (new)

Lori (tnbbc) oh yeah, and Im loving Desmond. His character has grown leaps and bounds recently. At first, with his deathly predictions for Charlie, he was just doom and gloom, but now he is really grabbing my attention. I totally want to see him and Penny reunite.

Ryan Ford | 4 comments I don't think that Charlie wanted to die, but he wanted to save Claire and erin (aaron?). That is how fate works. You can't sidestep it, or else the effect might also be changed. Charlie had to die in order for Desmonds vision to come about. I can't remember what exactly happened in Desmonds vision however! Was it just that the boat would come, or was it that they would be rescued? We already know that erin gets off of the island, but what about Claire! Typical fate. Never exactly what you thought.
