What would you recommend I read ASAP? I'm not really sure what to start next when I finish up Malazan and Beyond Redemption.

I selfishly want you to read Magician by Feist solely so you can pickup the Feist/Wurst Empire Trilogy (okay, not solely. Magician and the books beyond are good too haha). Angelfall by Ee is also a fav if you're in the mood for post apocalyptical YA.
I've had Carol Berg on my shelves forever and keep meaning to get to her. Same with Williams.

We could buddy read Carol Berg if you want. I want to finish up Malazan first, but later this year or even next year would work.

That would be fun! shall we see how things are going for 2018 in a couple months? I'm currently having a hard time planning that far ahead with all the challenges we're doing lol.
And Hobb!!! Didn't see her on your list the first time. Ship of Magic is such a cool book. :)

I know - there is so much going on right now! My book cover challenge is getting harder and I'm going to have to start to read things intentionally so I might copy Bill and choose some from this list. 2018 it is!
I really have to get to Hobb sometime soon because I only read Farseer and it has been a while.

I haven't decided if I'm going to go out of my regular reading intentions to complete the book cover challenge or not, mostly because I know I'll cover the remains topics eventually haha. I'm definitely going to be following suit with you and Bill and picking from my own library though haha.
Farseer is good, everything after is amazing. ^_^

I made an own-to-read shelf (finally) and got rid of one book. I suspect I'll do more of this in the future, but one is progress enough for now.
So I got a book for free and I'm not sure if I should include it as my one "buy" in my ten for one challenge...
Niki Hawkes wrote: "I think it works perfectly in exchange for the one you got rid of lol."
I'm going to go with that. ;)

Well I cheated and bought a whole bunch of books. Trying to decide what to do. I might get rid of some books to balance it.
I went through my list of books I own to read and got rid of 20. They were books that have been on my list forever and I didn't really feel like reading. I also looked at the reviews of my GR friends to see if any were worth keeping on the list (I did keep some I was planning to take off - thanks, friends!).
Wow! Good job!! I've been great at abandoning things lately, but I'm still rubbish at getting rid of physical copies. I'm impressed!

Yeah, all the ones I got rid of were e-books - I still have a hard time getting rid of print copies.

By the way, I want to read the series by Elizabeth Bear (it's on my challenge too, so if you want to set up a buddy read, I'm all for it).

Mid/late December would work. Or the beginning of January.

What day does the Malazan read start? We can schedule it so it doesn't interfere. :)

Well I failed my most recent 10 for 1 book buying challenge. I just couldn't choose between:
The Curse of the Mistwraith
Valor
Kings of the Wyld
Guns of the Dawn

I know the feeling... I have bought a lot of books lately. On the bright side I read most of them, so I think I am still on the good path. ;)
I'm hoping to do the same. Two of the books are for buddy reads so that will hopefully keep me on track :)

Niki Hawkes wrote: "If you're going to blow your challenge, at least you picked some awesome titles. :)"
haha that's all the justification I need ;)
